I mean he struggled last season and still needs to improve on his tackling, but I never thought he shouldn't be the starter... considering his competition

I think they were too quick to throw him in the doghouse. Yeah, he played like poo in 2011....but so did others.

I have always maintained his play in 2009 when Godfrey was hurt, that window of play was the last time we saw actual FS play in Carolina. He has the talent. Your FS doesn't need to be a stud tackler if you use him as a real FS......and LBs are letting everything get by them that shouldn't.

I don't have much faith Martin will do any better given how some games went last year. Still, changes definitely should be made. They brought in a replacement and it didn't work. Back to square one.

Well Martin is quick and athletic. His tackling was just atrocious though.

Perhaps he is better, or perhaps he will get better, we will find out shortly IMO.

All we can do is hope he is going to play well honestly.
