Read Option For Mobile QB's

Watching the Skins, that's fit for RG3 and a Vick. Mobile QB's

Cam isn't a mobile QB. He's just a QB that can run. There's a difference. I feel like we treating Cam like a girl. He's more than capable of standing in the pocket and gunning it around. Get better weapons and we'll be ok

Yeah we have plenty of weapons. We could have more but our offensive personnel is not terrible.

Our biggest problem on offense is we're running a whack-a-doo offensive scheme that is just not going to work and we're too stubborn to do something different. After that execution by the players OF our whack-a-doo scheme. Talent doesn't really figure into that list.

I also agree that pigeon holing Cam into that "you must run around to be effective" role is stupid. He'll have some growing pains as a pocket passer but he has all the physical tools to BE a great pocket passer. Trying to avoid those growing pains by running this bullshit scheme is delaying the growing-pains at best and causing setbacks at worst.

Cams a better option for it because he is durable. I said earlier this year RGIII will never make it out of the season alive if they keep allowing him to take those big hits. Still Cam has too much potential with his arm to wast running the Read. Let him run the Coryell like last year and mix in a few gimmicks. It was a stupid idea of chud to run it in the first place. WIth our RBs and line we could have ran a mean power O and had just as much success.

Cam isn't a mobile QB? Really? Because he is SELDOM chased down running straight line. He typically burns guys. Just because he's strong doesn't mean he's not mobile. That's like saying, "Peppers wasn't a versatile defensive end. He was just a defensive end who could occasionally outrun skill-position guys. There's a difference". No, dumbass, there isn't.

Cam is the only one legitimately built and with the skill set to run it at this level.

Worked just fine last year.....and the 2 games this year we went for 200+ rushing.

Cam is a pocket passer that has the ability to run. He's not a smaller QB like RG 3 that moves so fluently and can run the option to perfection. It was diff last year, thats why it worked and we also didn't run it like that last season like this season

You all understood my point I was making

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
