If we promote from within or roll with no GM, we are absolutely doomed to continued failure. If this is what we do, then I'm convinced that Jerry Richardson is the root of the problem with the Panthers organization.

I hope people don't expect a GM you've heard of before. It's just going to be an executive from a good team. That is how hiring GMs work but reading some posts on this site, I'm sure some aren't aware of that. As long as it isn't some scouter from a trash team, I'll be OK.

I like Ross myself, but keep in mind that Reese is the GM. You don't give Ross the credit, he's a part of things and not 'the guy'.

We were OK had if he was named HC. Everyone was on the Harbaugh bandwagon. Marc Ross is instrumnental in the Giants path to the SB.

if it's someone you've never heard of it doesn't automatically mean the guy is a loser the way might for players. the vast majority of team executives are completely unknown even to the fans of the team for which they work, let alone the entire nation's spectrum of teams.

if you can't name more than five front office guys from any teams that aren't already coordinators, position coaches, or current GMs, your chances of guessing the pick are pretty slim.
