Byron bell is back at RT

If Bells works out a position, I would rather he excel at RG than RT. I think that's what the team was thinking when they moved him. The team knows he's our best lineman and were just experimenting to see if he could improve our awful guard play. Read option or not, our running game will have no chance with the guards we have now. I'm glad to see he's back at RT though because Garry Williams has no business playing tackle. Bell can play RT. Let's just be happy about that and see where the team goes from here.

I definately think Bell is better suited for RT at this point in time. Keep him there the rest of the season. If you want to play with the line do it during off season workouts and practices. For the most part.

I know we are in flux right now. But keep Bell at RT. He has kept Cam protected well so far. Moreso than anyone would have thought.

It is curious that Campbell is still not in the conversation.

Garry Williams was terrible vs Cowboys. He was getting beat bad

IMO, Williams is in danger of being replace permanently. He was bad at G and T. Not many positions left for him to fail at.

Goes to show you how bad it has gotten. When Williams loses his spot to Byers. C'mon man.

    • This season’s leader, Daniel Jones, is averaging 265.9 yards per game, that would rank 12th in 2015. Even going back to 2020, he would rank 10th in passing yards. So it does appear that passing yards is down, but is that because they aren’t as good? Possibly, but we were spoilt in recent years when we had Brady, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Ryan, Stafford (etc). As crops of QBs go, it was an amazing era to watch and most will end up in the Hall of Fame. I’m not convinced you we could list as many potential Hall of Fame QBs from the current crop. Will it go pass heavy again? I think there’s a good chance that it will, but it will require QBs that can consistently air the ball out in the frequency we saw in the 00s and 10s. I think currently coaches are favouring a more balanced approach, if not favouring a strong running game.
    • JR loved him and from what I’ve read, Steve viewed him as a father figure.  Again, there was talk of him being released after the Bright and Lucas situations from what I recall.  I think the only way he survived those was JR.  and to further your point he even said in this interview that he skipped offseason workouts his whole career here and told Marty to keep that money from his next deal but he wasn’t coming because she had his own trainer.  We NEVER heard any of that during his career.
