Khan/Cowher a Package Deal?

Not sure if this was discussed yet, but a ton of tweets and rumblings going on about Omar Khan and Bill Cowher coming to Charlotte together to be GM and HC.

Bill Cowher wants to come back if the job is a right fit. Here is a quote I saw in a Steelers article from earlier in the year:

"Khan also has a big fan in former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher. When and if Cowher every returns to the sidelines, it is rumored he will push the ownership of whatever team he lands with to bring Khan on as the general manager."

Also from an ESPN reporter's twitter:

"Re: Panthers: Surprised the Bill Cowher/Omar Khan rumors haven't started yet. Makes a lot of sense, especially with Cowher being an NC guy"

It makes a TON of sense.....Toughts?

Make it happen. Wait... who is Khan? Any relation to Khengis? Or that Wrath guy?

All I know is. If Chud were to get nut kicked and straighten out our O, we could be good.

The only way I want a new HC is if we don't win another game. And look pitiful doing so. We are closer than we were last year. All we need is for Chud to get his head into the game.

Not sold on Cowher myself. 15 seasons with Steelers.....623 win % in reg season. Made the playoffs 10 of 15 years. 2 SB appearances 10 years apart. 1 SB win. (in year 14). Did not make the playoffs the year after winning SB. Seems like an ok coach, but not great. JR cannot wait 14 years. He needs a very good, preferably, great coach and a very good GM. Now. I want that for him too. :)

Not sure about Cowher either, but ask 100 Panthers fans if they would take the record described above and run with it, and 95 would say "hell yes" (I'd be one of them).

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
