I was violated by the TSA

So let me preference this by saying, I am not bashing anyone's lifestyle, people are free to do as they please. However, some folks are meant for certain jobs. That being said, let me begin my story. Today I was flying home and like everyone I was faced with jumping through the usual hoops that the TSA forces on weary travelers. Take off your suit coat, take off your shoes, take out your lap top, remove everything from your pocket, blah blah, blah blah just strip down buck naked. Well I made up that last part but you get the drift. Being that I had been traveling since 6:15am, I was tired and well, I made the dreadful mistake of not removing my belt and proceeded to walk towards the death ray machine. As I stood in the machine and the glass doors moved around me I thought, damn, I forgot to take off my belt, this will not end good. Well I didn't just think of the belt, I was also thinking of how many x-rays were going into my body, why do I have to hold my arms up like I am being stuck up. But I digress. As I began to step out of the machine I was told that my torso had been flagged...damnnitt I knew it. So I did what every logical person would do, I pulled off the belt and handed it over to the agent. In my mind, I thought, now they are going to make me go back through this damn machine and thus will continue their efforts to deep fry my pancreas, liver, kidneys etc. This is the point where the comedy began, I was informed that my infraction would result in a full body pat down. Now let me pause this story, becuase I think its important to note who and what is telling me about the pat down. Since words won't work in some instances, sometimes a picture speaks volumes:

well it was one of these guys...let's move on. So this dude begins by rubbing my arms, I am uncomfortable at this point, but what can I do. Next he lets me know he needs to pat down my chest. Okay so dude does 4 individual rubs on my chest...at this point being uncomfortable is now moving towards becoming angry. Only if it had stayed at that point. This dude begins to reach inside my waistband, yes my waistband...so I blanked for about 12 seconds and when I came back to, I had his arm jacked up behind his head. I was like oh. oh, looks like I am about to go to jail......well I will stop the story here, because it becomes a bunch of "look I didn't mean too's, and he provoked me and come on I just want to get homes.....

At any rate, I thought I would share, NOT EVERYONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK EVERY JOB, DISCRIMINATION BE DAMNED....

I was flying to minnesota and I forgot to take out my 12" hunting knife from my book bag (I went camping 1 week prior). TSA agent pulled me aside and we both started looking for my knife. We found it, he took the knife and wished me a safe flight. I was surprised how easy he let me go... because I had 2 indian dudes with me that look like Pakistanis... Go figured.

people have more rights at airports/tsa encounters than they are aware of. probably should have asked the nature of the pat down, and also for another agent.

hopefully nothing happened to you [legally, physically, or psychologically]. i will say this, though, don't try flying any time soon.

    • Would Morgan or Beason have been HOFers' if injuries hadn't derailed their careers?  I was not a close watcher of the game when Morgan was in his prime but I thought Beason had a few seasons at close to Lukes' level of play.
    • Franchise QBs feast when things are rolling and the tide that raises boats when things are going sideways.  Bryce isn't that. He's a complimentary player, that's it.  When the defense and STs are on point, he plays loose and it shows.  When we are in a dog fight and things haven't gone our way, he struggles.  It's that simple. He's not a horrible QB, but he's not top tier either.  So the question begs, is this worthy of a second contract?  The answer should be no.  It definitely is my answer. Bryce will never be a QB that can produce wins largely on his arm.  That's a FRANCHISE QB, any other QB is simply a placeholder at the starter's position until that guy can be found.   At some point the excuses of lack of weapons will be a straw man.  Heck, it's nearly there now.  I mean if he doesn't look even better than last year will we blame it on the TE position?  'Well if Bryce only had a player like Kelce, Kittle or Gronk on this team...'  Are we really going to do that?
    • When I arrived at college, I was 18, not too much younger than some of these draft picks.  It was not a huge school, but there were guys on the team who were 21, 22, 23....playing ahead of me.  I was seventh on the depth chart.  Those guys have been through a few seasons, were stronger, more knowledgeable.  I was a better raw player than some of them, but those other factors matter.  As I grew stronger, more familiar with the playbook, and learned what it was like to play in college, I gradually improved and with that, I rose up the depth chart.  It took most of my freshman year for the light to come on.  Had the coach thrown me into the starting lineup day 1, I would have probably failed.    And that was college.  So I agree with you based on my experience on a much lower level.  Frankly, I think that is why so many kids drafted to fill huge gaps bust.  The teams are desperate.  Anyone who looks to fill vacancies in the starting lineup through the draft is desperate.  You draft depth to develop.  For this reason, I say, "Let Walker start for a while."  Maybe Brazzell can be our WR 4.  Throw Hunter into a rotation and ask him to do one or two things.  Freeling needs some strength and he needs to work on run blocking.
