With BCS championship approaching there are talks of Saban jumping ship of Bama because the whole 24/7 crimson tide feel it gets to be over bearing. He has said that if he goes to the NFL he only wants to work with Michael Lombardi.

So with all that said, what are your thoughts on a Lombardi GM with Saban as HC. He would bring back out our strength at the running game, our defense would be ultilized, the only thing is i dont know how well he'd gel with Cam in terms his progression and using him in the best way possible. Just a thought and I would like to know what you guys think.

i wouldn't hate it as much as some other guys but i'm not loving the idea either. doesn't really matter tho cause he' ll only be working with lombardi who will be going back to the browns from what i' ve read if he goes anywhere.

saban is a bit too conservative for my liking.

Saban is basically John Fox with a Bill Bilicik 3-4 defense. As much crap as all the fans and people on here gave Fox when he coached here, even when he won, how many people would want to see that again. I liked Fox because I like wacthing good defense as much as good offense. But most of the fans did not.

      Jalen Carter came into camp out of shape too. That was part of the reason he dropped considering he was thought of as the better defensive player pre-draft activities. It’s not a good sign when you don’t look great but it’s definitely premature.

      We won 5 with the worst defense in the history of defenses.  I think free agency and our draft puts us over 6.5.

      Leaning towards just ordering this tonight, but now I have no idea on size. Has anyone bought a bunch of jerseys in the last few years and can convey how the Game vs Limited vs Reebok versions all fit? These are both Mediums... The white one here is a Reebok one from 2010, and was when they had the "+2 length" on the tag and it was the version with the stitched numbers instead of iron on... the blue one is from 2022 and is the F.U.S.E Limited version also with stitched stuff, not the "game jersey" with the ironed on numbers/letters that they have the T-Mac jerseys in. The old one fits me fine, the blue one was always a tad snug on me, particularly in the shoulders I'm leaning going with a Large based on the CMC, but for all I know, that is made with a tighter cut due to the higher "limited" level and the "game" ones they have for T-Mac are cut more like a T-Shirt and thus will fit more like the old white one I have here, not sure. (and yes, I already tried going to a sporting goods store here to hopefully try on a Lions jersey to see, but they don't have any right now)
