Just wanted to point out you are seeing His best year in his career minus TD's which he could match / or possibly break

2012 14 games 59 receptions 747 yds 12.7 avg. 5 TDs

He is one shy of his career high in receptions (60)

747 and counting is his career high in yards

as well as his 12. 7 average

His career high in TD's is 8

HIs career long is 52 w/ Bears but he has had two 40+ with the Panthers which are his 2nd and 3rd longest receptions

I think his best days are still ahead of him pending he stays healthy.

Its pretty cool that I wanted us(among many others here) to draft this guy and we got him albeit 5 years later. I hope we retain him for along time and utilize him MORE

it could have been more if he was a bigger part of the game plan and wasn't ignored in so many plays the first part of the year. the offense focused too much on cam and smitty. spread the ball around more in the air and on the ground and you become harder to defend and get in the endzone more.

I am a big Olsen fan, I really want him to sign an extension. It'd be nice if he were a weapon for for longer. Its awesome we are using him more than Chitown ever did, G-reg is a definite threat.....

Was going to be wearin an 88 jersey this season, until the 2 jersey debacle last Christmas....

Olsen was well worth trading that 3rd round draft pick. Hope he's a force in Carolina for years to come.

While that TE tandem last year with Shockey was a thing of beauty (big mistake to let him go), I think this team has bigger fish to fry this offseason.

    • Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.
    • I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....
    • Haha.  I remember my first Hornets season.
