Anyone else out there have trouble sleeping?

Been dealing with the same thing for awhile now. It will literally make you insane. Get a sleep study done and see what it might be. Could be anything from apnea to stress. That will give you a lot of the answers.

I think mine has a lot to do with stuff in my subconscious that makes me wake up. I don't feel stressed at all but I know there is a lot going on that I should be stressed about and pretty sure that my subconscious tries to process it when I am sleeping.

Also agree on the alcohol thing.....that will fug up your sleep patterns severly.

Not sleeping will lead to lots of other problems so defintely see your doctor. Good Luck.

yeah, try to go without tv or any form of media/net etc at least 2hrs before you go to sleep. wind your brain down so you can get to REM stage 2 earlier and not later.

melatonin is a good natural sup for this. no more than 2 glasses of wine at night is good as well.

but to wake up the way you are sounds like it could be some stress. hit the gym a little more or run/walk to burn it off. or some creative outlet.

that's me pretty much every night if I don't take something.

cold medicine or an over the counter sleep aid usually does the trick for me

not the best habit to get into of course, but neither is not sleeping!

I've been there before. I use to have to take cold meds or sleeping pills. What made me stop was it went from one at night to about four pills a night. Not that I was hooked but your body gets use to it and it takes more of it to fall asleep. Quick cold turkey. I use to work two jobs and get about 3-4 hrs asleep a day. That's why I started taking meds to sleep. Now thankfully only working one job and can sleep like a normal person.

Taking melatonin for me is like setting a 3 hour timer. It spooky just how accurate it is but almost exactly 3 hours after I get to sleep Im wide awake if I take melatonin. About the only thing that works for me in that vein is Yogi Bedtime Tea. http://www.yogiproducts.com/products/details/bedtime-tea/ That stuff is the best thing Ive ever used for making sure I get a good nights sleep.

Oh and Ambien keeps me awake but makes me hallucinate.

    • I think you misunderstand what I mean by "significantly better than Bryce Young." That gets you entry into the top 30 NFL starting QB's. Not sure if you have seen that group recently, but it's not a strong one the further down that list you go. Murray is a Tier 3 if not Tier 4 QB in my book.
    • Here is where you are… for purely the sake of arguing with me you are willing to suggest the 2025 Saints RBs might not be better than the 2025 Panthers RBs lol Saints have the 28th ranked rush attack.  We are top 10.   The Saints haven’t had a 100 yard rusher the entire season.  We have seen franchise best performances in a franchise known for running the rock. and see above for what our OL is also clearly better than the Saints.  Hell, Canales being forced into some mashups has often made it even stronger at times
    • I am not saying there isn't truth to that but the economics and reality of the NFL are producing that. It's very hard to justify taking a guy in the 1st round, shelving him for years, having to make a contract extension and THEN hoping it all turns out okay. Not to mention, imagine that scenario after what we traded for Bryce. One thing is for certain, the QB desperation has led to bad 1st round QB picks for 15+ years now. That ain't new.  I think we need to decide on Bryce's future this offseason and we will have to. In my eyes, picking up the 5th year option is the "all-in" move for a two year period. That means you are committed to him in the medium term. Not the move I would personally make.  No matter what the decision is, I have been vocal about needing to bring in multiple QB's to improve that QB room for when Bryce falters again. How about just overall improving your team depth so that when it doesn't pan out, you at least have options on the roster? I don't feel like that is too much to ask and it's a valid bet hedge.
