Doing some scary movie watching

I played Antichrist the other night and after the begining when i realized im watching Dafoes twig n berries slamming his wifes V my wife was like ..uh what r we watching? I said.... The greatest netflix movie ever!!!

Speaking of Dafoe..Last Temptation of Christ is amazing!! For those who have not seen it.

Even for the most religious, if you watch it in its entirity n not freak out in the middle you will be rewarded in a non preverted The Passion of Tourture Porn type way. In its supposed blaspheme it demonstrates the true sacrifice and faith that The Passion does not.

..and if that sounds too religiously..its a hoot to see Jesus take a human path of not dying for the humans and doing his capital J thang!

If you are ever in the mood to watch a really fugged up movie that is very well made, I suggest "Antichrist" starring Willem Dafoe. It is currently on Netflix.

It is a really beautifully shot movie with brilliant acting throughout. It's basically about a married couple that, after the death of their baby son and subsequent mental breakdown, retreat to a cabin in the woods. Dafoe plays the husband who is a therapist. He believes he can help his wife who is slowly losing her mind.

The film has some very graphic violence and sex scenes. It is not for the faint of heart. On the surface it might seem like a film made to only shock people, but on a deeper level I think it says a lot about mental health. And it also happens to have some of the best cinematography I can remember.

If you can sit through Antichrist and appreciate its dark depressed art film...then check out a quirky dark comedy drama: Me You And Everyone WeKnow... Hard to explain but good..just dark n awkward. More independent film school than Antichrist''s Artistic sensibilities cinematography.

Not on Netflix but equally as depressing is The Sweet Hereafter...a great film.

I see nothing at all artistic about a man cumming blood. But that's just me. I know there's some huge underlying thing about sex in the movie, I just hated it so much that I never cared to figure it out.

I've seen ads for Trick R Treat, Troll Hunter and Antichrist. Considered renting one or more but haven't yet.

I'm like a binge movie watcher. I'll go weeks without renting any and then one weekend rent half a dozen.

Just to be clear Antichrist is an Art house drama..lot of crying n child death mourning. It has shock value scenes just to be that..like the full on close up of Dafoe going to town on his wife which I just did not expect..Caligula style.

Other two are good fun horror movies with Let The Right One in probally the best of the bunch.

Watched "Sinister" last night. Very creepy movie you will not want to watch alone, like I did. The opening is super creepy and sets the tone the whole way.

I'm not a huge fan of the "ghost children" angle. It's kind of cheesy and reminded me of the "alternate dimension" parts of Insidious. Besides the kids, I liked just about everything else about the movie. Not spectacular but does it's job of being scary throughout.

Also want to add how disappointed I was to know the plot based on the trailers. I wish I could have gone into Sinister knowing absolutely nothing but I already knew what the main character finds out in the third act. Shitty marketing.

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
