Proof to back what up?

The fact that I owned PSLs and missed fewer than 8 games during the 17 seasons I attended in Charlotte and I know what I see?

The fact that fewer and fewer seat owners whom I had grown accustomed to sitting with up until the 2008 post-season now attend games at all?

The fact that most of the people who did arrive to sit in the seats surrounding mine were different every week and explained to me they had purchased tickets on the corner outside the stadium?

The fact that more and more opposing teams' fans are now attending games? The fact that you can go to a game between the Bucs and Panthers and see plenty of Pittsburgh and Dallas jerseys?

The proof is simply opening your eyes at any Panthers home game and looking around.

My anecdotal evidence of why people I know go to less games than they used to is that they got tired of weekly battle to see who could be more annoying to be around.....the drunk rednecks or the Sunday school crowd...neither of which ever learned to stand and cheer on defense and sit and shut up on offense or that the wave is lame.

Imagine that...the casual fan dies not understand that owning an NFL franchise is a multilingual million dollar "for profit" organization.

Everyone wants to believe that owners AND players own teams and play football for the live of the game and the enjoyment/ adoration of the fans.

Newsflash. Most (if not all) do it for the same reason....big money.

Hearing the truth really gets people's defense mechanisms all riled up...cry babies who need to grow up? Seriously you as a fan are part of the problem. You accept mediocrity in your life and have no issue with perpetuating that mentality across all facets of your mediocre existence.

There is nothing in our history that proves we are going to be ok. We have 4 winning seasons. God forbid we try to examine why.

This was also a contributing factor in selling my PSLs this past off season. It's more of a pain in the ass dealing with idiots and the entire ordeal of attending a game when you know that you have less than a 50% chance of seeing the team win or enjoying the whole "stadium fan experience," whatever the fug that is. Not to mention the constant threats on the big screen about behaving yourself, which occur about 6 times per game.

The best Panther game I've ever attended, by far, was in Green Bay. Our game day experience is dreadful. If you want to blame that on ownership than I can agree to an extent.

Remember the Kris Jenkins interview on WFNZ.....where he said something to the affect of hand puppet minter and hand puppet Rucker running up to the owners office and think that by kissing his Butt they were gaining favor.

Jenkins also speaks about how Seifert was a headstrong coach and wanted things done his way. After we went 1-15 Jerry went out and got the polar opposite of Seifert. Fox was not established, very green as far as what goes into being a head coach. Fox tried to represent what want the owner wanted, said Fox should have been the one in control of the locker room since he was there with them everyday not the other way around.

From the same link he says the leaders of the team are Davis,Beason,Gross,Deangelo,Kalil, and Stewart. Says Godfrey and Anderson can be. Coincidentally these are the biggest contracts still on the books. You can blame Hurney for the astronomical signing bonuses he gave out after the lockout or maybe just maybe Richardson had been saving the money up to do just that during the lockout.

His last statement in the interview with Fogarty was that he has no hobbies other than the panthers. He's either at the office or at home he says. So he's obviously doing more than just signing checks and getting out of the way of everyone else doing their job.

We all know about Cam Newton having to go to JR's house and be told no tattoo's or piercings/ plus other stuff that was never leaked from that meeting before being drafted.

Remember Hurney saying he never did more research on a single prospect in his life, yet he still had to get JR'S final approval on Cam.

I didn't remember Smith specifically going to Jerry's house to request a trade as mentioned in the article titled the man behind the curtain by Colin from WFNZ.

Or what about the speculation of Brandon Beane becoming the next GM. No way in hell Acorsi would have endorsed that. Granted he would have been the best hollow suit possible.

Rivera was passed up how several times but yet we decided on him here. I got to think a part of that was Rivera willing to sacfrice on some level to understand thing's are going to be done Jerry's way even if it makes the ultimate goal a little tougher.

Then you've got Getteman who was completely okay with keeping the entire regime left over before he got here from scouting department all the way up to the head coach.

All that being said everyone with more insight than us, including Jenkins says Jerry wants to win as much as anyone. Thats fine and dandy that he wants to win. Everybody wants something but often times are not willing to make the sacrifice's it takes to get what they want. In Jerry's case it appears he's not willing to sacrifice profits either for his investors sake and or his own amongst other things.

Before any blind supporters go crazy on me I am not saying he's a bad guy on a personal level but his team's success from a winning standpoint speaks for itself.

When Kris calling the team out (on thing that look to be true now) his ass was gone as soon as they found a trade partner.

Also, look at even people like Bill Rozinski and Darin Gantt.

Bill wasn't a homer and called games as he saw them and was a professional. Not good enough for JR.

Gantt had a legitimate leak from the team and was also unbiased. Great panthers beat writer. Obviously rubbed JR the wrong way.
