Steve Smith: Ain't Scared

Revis seems like a standup guy who isn't going to pop off at the mouth pre-game. At most, he'll do the typical "I'm going to beat the guy in front me every play" type of talk, I think (because most players do). That's just competitiveness. I do hope Smitty beats up on him though, just because I know TB fans think they have this sure thing at corner now. The dude's knee is a question, and they're paying him a TON...they better hope that offense doesn't slump hard, because it's not like they have a lot of money to go get guys.

I'm kinda hoping he does do some pre-game or in-game jawing with Smith.

Whenever that happens, the results are always fun to watch.

AP is older than Revis.

He healed up pretty well.

because he's the rule, not the exception, right?

ADP's recovery is a not at all something to expect. it was remarkable. just because he recovered doesn't mean revis will. much more likely he doesn't have near the recovery that peterson had and much more likely he'll have the return that someone like davis had the first and second time around.

AP is a physical freak among physical freaks. His diet and workout regimen is unbelievable. His results were mind boggling, PEDs or not.

Also, in a game that is full of uncontrolled movements and hits, an offensive player can dictate most of his movements. A DB is reacting to another player which could add more stress to the ACL than an offensive player making a cut on his own merit.

I love Smitty. The Revis/Smith matchup should be good to watch. Hopefully, we can get creative with him and put him in some 1 v. 1 positions against Goldson and burn him deep. TB secondary looks good on paper but their DL and LB also look very weak. We should have lots of time to throw and have pretty good running lanes.

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
