Fresh take on Newton from a Packers blogger

Im confused by it as it is dead accurate but seemingly a take off of the Yahoo article. Good one none the less.

Sad we have to find Packer bloggers still breaking down anything with metrics for our own team...thanks observer..there is still a way to keep Panther in the news with no actual news guys..

In my experience with Packer fans. They are some of the more intelligent fans than most fans of other NFL teams. I even have friends that are Packer fans....And its damn near impossible to talk any trash to them. 2011 for example Panthers score they are like "wow, what a great play"  Great article too.

He hit on a huge point - the Panthers haven't really done much to help Cam on the offensive side.  Couple offensive linemen and some late round WRs who are battling to even stay on the roster.  Relying on 34 year old Steve Smith to shoulder the same load 26 year old Steve Smith did is unrealistic, but that's what they are asking.

I agree get the man some offensive line help at least. I like our draft picks but not at the expense of frustrating our franchise player. We got Luke some help can we get Cam some help too. Hopefully we plan to get a solid guard when teams cut down to the final 53.

all of the packers fans i've ever known have an encyclopedic knowledge of their team and usually have some kind of tie to wisconsin.  it seems like most of them have actually seen their team in person at least once too.

basically they're the opposite of cowboys fans.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
