Am I the only Panther fan that would sign Hakeem Nicks over Hardy?

I know that you know this, but I feel compelled to say that Stewart didn't miss hardly any games until last season.

Yeah he does have a history of foot troubles though unfortunately. I hope everyone can be healthy.

One good year? Statistically yes, but anyone who watched him could see he had a knack for it. With what he's shown in just the last two years yes, I think you could call him a premier pass rusher.

I think what you can say if anything is that up until last year his potential wasn't showing up on the field.

Good pass rusher>Good WR. I would rather draft a WR anyway. Plus Nicks is made of glass.

Not consistently at least. He had some flashes that showed just how good he could be. The biggest thing he did was shore up his run assignment and discipline.

If Hardy has another good year, you don't let good pass rushing DEs leave unless they want unreasonable $.

comparing hardy to stewart fails because having two elite defensive ends is much more important than having two elite runningbacks.

 

hardy also has more years of productivity left than nicks, and i would argue a higher overall ceiling. i'd much rather keep hardy and draft a first round receiver next spring.

It doesn't matter what any of us think. What does matter is what Gettleman thinks: and I guarantee you he is looking to build a stout defensive line.

 

 

Next year could look a lot different in terms of cap space: D-Will, Godfrey, Beason, and even Jordan Gross could be looking at the axe. 

 

I'm not saying they should be cut, but if they all have bad seasons...
