The homer in me says 16-0, but I think that 9-7 is enough to keep Ron in the job after not having a winning season since 2009.

 

My wins include: Bills, Cards, Vikes, Giants, Fins, Rams, Jets, and split the division games. Seattle would just be gravy on that..

With this team it's a roll of the dice. As soon as I think their good ,they suck and when I think they suck,they play okay. Ask again after they play a few games and we see what they have.

So much depends on injuries, our team and the teams we play and momentum...in a game so emotional, that factor can't be overlooked.

 

As much as I want to believe that Rivera is a big time coach as a big  time coach hides weaknesses with scheme and capitalizes on strengths; but,  I don't really see it, then again, there have been a lot of coaches in this league who won championships because they had great players and many great coaches who never won a championship.  

 

IMHO the Panthers O line and skill players do not match up to other teams and they will play this season.   Now, maybe Ginn, Hixon will be what they have never been on other teams...and maybe that Oline will surprise in a positive way, but, given the teams they are playing, not sold.

I dearly want it to be 9-7 or greater...I just hope the wins are at home.  That helps a lot things.

7-9 with a bad O-line and an offense that displayed very little productivity in the preseason.

 

That being said, if the Panthers somehow manage a win against the Seahawks, which would be an upset, they could very well gain some huge momentum and win a couple more games this season they might not have otherwise.

 

This team has not fared well against teams they're not supposed to beat. They have no experience winning games they're not supposed to and don't know how it feels to knock off the big team on the block. Once that happens and they believe they can beat the best teams in the league, things might change in Charlotte

7-9.  The defense will be much improved, but I am not sure the offense is better and could indeed be worse.  I will be happy if I am proved wrong though.

My opinion is that I'll have a lot better idea of how good or bad this team is in about three weeks or so.

The problem I have with picking a record for this team is that Chico was fugging 1-7 in tight games last year. My prediction is something like this then. . uhmm somewhere between 6-10 and 12-4
