Dear Seahawks fans who just tried to register...

Having been to Seahawks.net and Reddit since the game ended, Seahawks fans have been very classy. They have also been very complimentary of our team and it looks like we earned a lot of respect yesterday.

Examples from Reddit:

Ahoy!

Just wanted to pop over and say gg. I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. Honestly, I think the Carolina front 7 is so damn good. I'm so jealous of the pass rush you guys were able to generate.

The ejection was kinda weird. Breno is kind of a bruiser (he had ~6 personal foul penalties in the first half of last year, but has cleaned that up) and I'm sure he said or did something suspect. Still, even after the flag I was surprised at the ejection.

Anyway, there have been a couple of Panthers fans posting over in /r/seahawks and they have all been classy. I hope that's the vast majority of your fanbase. (there's always a few loons in every group - especially on the nets)

All in all, I hope that no one was seriously injured and both teams have a great season.

Oh - I used to think Steve Smith was a jerkyjerkface, but I honestly think he's just an extreme competitor and I wish he was on our team. He's awesome.

Seahawks fan here, your D is legit scary and you'll make some noise in the NFC south this year I guarantee it.

Hey guys, Seahawks fan here. I'm not usually into the whole "enemy" fans visiting other subreddits thing and being friendly but...

Holy poo. You guys owned Marshawn Lynch today. It's been said many times, but DAMN! Your front seven are badass!

Also: Cam and Smitty looked good, and there's no way that Olsen gets nearly so many drops in the future as in this game.

I think you guys have enough talent this year that Rivera cannot fug up the season. I think you guys will win the NFC South. I mean that! No other team in your division has the offense + defense in one package.

Anyway, it was a nailbiter, and that means it was a really good game. Watch out NFC South!

And from Seahawks.net

Your D line looked awesome today. You guys have a very bright future.

Man, Salute. Your team is legit, gave us hell on the best part of our team by stuffing the run, Cam looks a lot sharper than he has ever looked.

NFC South should be on notice, Panthers are good.

Great game, and a more than fantastic showing for that Carolina Defense. Wow.

Cam looked patient and took what the 'hawks gave him. Unfortunately, Carolina came up a little short. Plenty of games left, and I can see that squad winning a lot of games down the road.

Sorry but I fit that bill.  I registered after the game because I belong to Seahawks.NET and they mentioned you guys and I wanted to extend my sincere wishes for a good season the rest of the way.  We had a few classy Panthers fans show up to congratulate us on the win.  Always refreshing versus the usual smack talking sore losers we all come across.

I've been a diehard Seahawks fan since they came into the league in 1976.  So you can imagine I've had my share of heartache.  This year may be THE year but who knows?  The Panthers was a valid scare for us on the schedule, especially being on the road, 10am (yes that's a factor for us) in that Carolina heat.  Then, when you add to the mix that you guy's are actually GOOD (especially that front 7, WOW), we knew we were in for a battle.

I don't think the game disappointed in that regard.  I thought Cam and your offense was pretty sound, more so than last year.  A good mix up.  A play here or there and this could easily have gone the other way.

Keep your heads up, you have a good team and a defense that will be a force to reckon with for sure.

See you down the road!  Good luck and good health!

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
