The Bottom Line

Rankings:    1. Luck     2. Griffin     3. Wilson     4. Kaepernick     5. Newton

The consensus is that Luck remains the can't-miss player of the group. Moon said, "Andrew doesn't have any weaknesses in his game." An NFC general manager added, "Luck should be a Hall of Famer 15 years from now. He took a team that was 2-14 before he arrived and led it to 11 wins in his rookie year. That's a pretty good start."

As for the others, most people interviewed for this story also see greatness in the futures of Griffin and Wilson. Griffin holds a slight edge because he's more dynamic -- "He can run and he's accurate," said Tuck. But Wilson is the safer bet to be more durable and play longer. Kaepernick is the wild card of the group. Many people think his ceiling could be higher than Griffin's if his game develops steadily. Newton, on the other hand, is at a point in his career where he's likely to plateau if the Panthers keep struggling.

It's a big article with paragraphs under each ranking section.  Not posting all of it.  But the experts have spoken.  Newton is the weak link.  Time to move on I guess.  I wonder if Jimmy Clausen is still available.

Oh.  They have a " Sportsnation: Cast Your Vote " Not sure if you guys like taking over polls or anything like that.

Even if I take Newton out of the equation. I will take Wilson and Kaep over Luck any and every day. I would also take a healthy RG3 over him.

Although the Colts have changed their offense to better suit Luck. So I think Luck will have a good year. Better than last.

If only they would have had a fakest smile category...

Relax, we need Cam to be hated. He is a better QB when he is hated and doubted IMO.

Cam has only stunk at one point....and that was when people felt forced to praise him to start 2012

How in the h3ll is Kap proven to be more durable than Cam?   Has he actually been laid out a couple times every other game?     His Oline is amazing.                 Cam has taken a pounding time and time again and has yet to miss a game.

What a shameless gutless article. How the fug can they have the slightest idea into Cam's intelligence? Because of post game interviews? I'm tired of this borderline racist poo man. Cam's asked to do more than of these guys and physically superior and more durable than all of them. Sheer idiocy.

    • I think it's more related to the difference between proven talent and projected talent. Our proven talent is quite literally almost nonexistent. Our projected talent could be significantly more. Obviously, it remains to be seen how many DJ Moore's we get and how many TMJ's(not making this position specific, just giving examples of clear progression of careers and talent being realized versus not). This could be an exceptionally terrible, underwhelming, okay, fairly decent, surprisingly good, etc roster. All that has to play out on the field because our known entities in terms of above average caliber NFL players is paltry but most standards. All that digital bloviating to basically say, "Show me." As for Tepper, I genuinely don't think he has meddled that much less and I don't think he has stepped back. I think he just cleaned house of most of the people chirping about it internally while not making himself so publicly visible because he is very aware of the meme he has made himself and this franchise. IMO, he will continue to fug this franchise over because that is who he is as a person.
    • Glad im not watching...  guessing walker out too
    • Also Walker is a game time decision. He might not be able to play tonight.
