That's the difference between 1-and-0 teams and 0-and-1 teams.

Every 1-and-0 team thinks they are going to the SB and every 0-and-1 team thinks the playoff are an impossibility.

I do not advocate either school of thought.

With that said, we go 0-and-2 and I may be visiting here at night all by myself.

It will be NY South regardless. Those tickets have already been sold. I'm willing to bet it will be 50/50 next Sunday.

I disagree. Last year when the gates first opened, i was in shock at how many Giants fans there were. Like 20-1 the first 30 mins. But i do have to say, panther fans showed up and it definatly was not 50-50. Alot more fans than ya give credit. I was the only panther fan(edit: after) the game standing behind the NFL network crew. Hoping to get some TV time amd definatly trying to get my moneys worth. Got a pic with the legendary pantherfan in a cape and blue hair.

We win the game, but i wont be convinced this team has arrived unless we beat NYG.

Agreed. This team is at a real crossroads. Where we are at the bye week will tell me EVERYTHING I need toknow about the season. If we are 2-1 at the bye, watch out because we will make noise. If we are 0-3, the players know this time Rivera is gone and there wont be any strong finish this year and we really could be in play for the number 1 pick.

This is how Gettleman will notify the media that Rivera is no longer here...

How's that to open a press conference?

Have Person open the package, only to vomit uncontrollably until he has to be escorted out.

Cue the Godfather theme.

That would get me excited about football again.

if we lose i can honestly say it will be my lowest point as a panthers fan.

2010 was horrifically brutal man.  Not sure one loss can match that level of sustained lowness, but a loss Sunday would be completely demoralizing to the fanbase.

Other than hopefully finding 2 cornerstones for the future in Newton & Kuechly, everything that followed the AZ meltdown in 2008 has been an overall disappointment

I think everyone is apprehensive about this game i know i am.if they should lose this then the season is probably in the tank and the thought of a long disappointing season sucks and is depressing. I don't want to get to worked up in case they kick me in the balls again.Fan of this team for a long time and i have heard this tune before.

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
