If Ron stays another year, the problem will be this: he will convince Gettleman to draft defense in the first round thinking he is just one player away from that premiere defensive unit he's been building for three years. Wasting yet another opportunity to surround Cam eith elite talent. This regime has got to go.

Rivera should have called timeout

Yes.

Just like he should have called a TO last year in the Chicago game when they slant-patterned their way the length of the field.

Norman may be dense and unwilling or unable to learn. The exact same thing should be said of Rivera.

That's what I was thinking the whole time. Your defense is getting gassed, just got a bullshit penalty to set up the Bills to score. Why not take a timeout to gather yourself?

Because the defense was set and knew exactly what Buffalo was doing.

And then Cam is suppose to bail out his defense when they can't get it done.

This is what the coaches have been saying about Norman all along. He had talent and is a ball hawk but you can't trust him to know his assignments.

He is probably our most talented corner but he had to have discipline so his teammates can trust him

I'm not even so sure he's that talented. He got beat so bad on one play that he wasn't even in the frame

Another overhyped guy who we think is talented when all he does is show he can't play at this level

Remember when Bell got pulled off his couch and after a year of sucking people were claiming he was good heading into the 2011 season?

Any gm who is serious about winning would have replaced bell

Wow, if only we had some sort of person in this organization who could have called a timeout before the most important play of the game to make sure all the players were on the same page and had the right mindset. That kind of thing could eliminate these kinds of excuses. Heck, we could even have the defense take a look at what the offense is doing and then take some time to talk it over. We could call this person the Head Honcho, or Head Man, or something like that.
