Eh, I like how aggressive Payton is...I guess that is my point. Payton also to date is a much better coach than RR.....

But I still have faith in RR getting better. But by nature he will never be Killer Instinct Ron. That is probably the main point of all this......people need realize Ron is what he is. I like him overall....but he will never be a foot on your throat type guy. People claim they want that..... yet agree with the mercy call. They contradict IMO

 

Throwing a deep one to the end zone up 31-0 is a foot on the throat move.  Actually, its a foot stomping down on a throat move.  After that, the game was in the books.

I don't put tons of stock in one game....which is why I predicted a win today while so many thought we would get crushed.

This in realty is a big picture discussion about Rivera. At heart, that play shows what he is.....I prefer a Sean Payton type at HC in the NFL. That's all. One of those can't see the forest bc of the trees type things

 

then start popping vicoden because that was a wrong call for payton then and it still is now. you are making nothing out of something.

 

9/10 coaches would have made the same call.

Having a killer instinct and not running up the score are 2 different things. Rivera showed killer instinct when he threw to Ginn deep to make it 38. Rivera did a great job today. Let it go.

CRA you are totally off base and arrguing just makes it worse. It is an unwritten rule in the NFL. You don't Intentionally embarrass another team. That is unprofessional. Believe what you want but let this thread die. It takes away from good posts you have made in the past.

Lets talk about how Williams is over the hill and is all washed up instead.

Kicking a FG isn't embarrassing a team. It's the NFL.

And I have stated several times Williams is running much better this year than last. He certainly looked washed up most of last year.....

I never once said RR did a poor job today. He didn't. He did a great job today . Just like he did week 1....

They had 0 chance of winning at that point.  Don't care even a little bit.  Wouldn't have cared had he called for a punt, a statue of liberty play, or pulled a toilet out on the field and had cam sit on it while calling out the play.

 

 

Now this play would have been thread worthy.
