No game is a "should win" when talking about the modern day Panthers.

One day, we could beat the '07 Pats. The next day, we could lose to the 0-16 Lions. It's too unpredictable, which is so ridiculously annoying.

Granted, losses don't even phase me at this point. After we lost to the Bills, I stopped caring and just watch the games for the entertainment, not in hopes of actually being able to win.

I'm amazed by the optimism from some of you guys. I've gotta hand it to you.

...But have you guys not been watching these loses? The Panthers play (on paper) far, far, worse teams and FIND ways to lose. They lose in epic manners. One week will be primarily due to poor coaching. The next week the players will do it. The next week they'll dominate and then lose in the last seconds.

This team is incredible because of it's clear talent that is completely disorganized and lacking the chains, organization, and imagination that leads to consistent wins.

I expect nothing but maybe one win over the next four weeks. If you don't see the massive confusion of this Panthers team, you're insane. We've seen this stuff for three years now. You think they're magically going to fix it over four more weeks? Please.

I'm still pretty optimistic, the next 4 games must be, should be, will be 4 big wins!

Viks, Rams, Bucs, Falcons are weaker and we can destroy them!

If we can win the next 4 games the road to the play off is still open.

GO PANTHERS!

wow, rather thought provoking...  great job.

True, but don´t forget how last season ended. We beat almost every team, no matter what record. So if we can fix the errors, we will be comnpetitive. I am positive we will partly fix it and get over .500 on Oct. 24. We better will, because I will be in the stands and I am not willing to leave RJ Stadium with an L. You have to be positive, otherwise you go craizy being a Cats fan.

    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
    • Depends if they see the writing on the wall with their roster and contracts and decide to bite the bullet and begin a complete rebuild and roster overhaul.  I have no clue why some franchises (IE us) refuse to do this and keep half assing trying to win 8 games or so.  Do it correctly, take your lumps and build a contender.  We shall see what loomis decides.
    • Each team plays 17 games.  I do not see why they don't just have each team play one international game per year.  Neutral site game, 8 home, 8 away.
