Was Ted Ginn Confused By The Sidelines?

Tough to say until it's game after game, but certain returns could have been called or he may have seen something downfield that we didn't.  I'm not going to fault a returner of his caliber until it's clear that he's really struggling with vision and/or instinct.

I'm not at all saying this is a trend or a fault. I just felt he could have went more North & South. But it was funny to watch just how FAST he could get to that sideline.

It was not only on catches....he tended to run out on S/T more than anything and he would never go over the middle without alligator arming the ball.....Now I will say I have not sat down to watch tape of him yet from this season, but I will be tomorrow so I can see the differences etc.

he has been pretty big for us. And laid the wood on a DB that freed Lafell for the 70+ yard td. it was a massive hit.

We all had our doubts about him coming into the season but he doesn't seem to play scared anymore and has 0 drops on the season.

he's the best return man we've had since smitty.

he's leading the team in yardage and has a couple scores as well.

i'm not worried about this little thing. he's doing a great job. he's what i'd hoped/expecting he'd be as a returner and a better WR than i thought he would be. i ain't going to nitpick.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
