Blackmon available for trade? EDIT: blackmon suspended for season

you guys are nuckingfutz.  The guys had 2 DUI's and then suspended for violating the NFLs substance abuse policy.  If it looks like a train wreck, it probably is. he may be a good WR but what good is that if hes in the Betty Ford clinic and not on the field

We are a team that does not develop WRs and is even worse at drafting them.   It's been over a decade since we struck oil with Steve Smith and since then, no one notable.   It's a risk worth taking.  A proven talent instead of a random 2nd/3rd rounder we'd end up taking that probably wouldn't pan out.  I think we're a playmaker on offense away from pushing this team over mediocrity.  He may need a change of scenery and team to get his act together.  It could allow us to 100% focus on o-line in the first (hopefully was already anyway, but this definitely lets you).

This sounds like bullshit. PFT (really?) is literally the only place talking about this. I highly doubt this is legit.

Besides, I honestly would rather not even have the guy here. We don't need this in our locker room.

Anyone see him knocking down a security guard last week while he went out of bounds? He didn't even help the guy up.

thats exactly what this team needs right now, a cancer like Blackmon to undo everything the Panthers have worked to accomplish.

No more of a cancer than a guy who has knocked out two of his team mates in practice and has been known to demand the ball and cause his QB to lock onto him for games so he throws into double and triple coverage.  Sometimes it is worth the risk.  I don't think Blackman is a cancer to the team, just to himself.  He's not at star status like Moss or TO or Ocho to even be able to do much.  I also don't subscribe to the fact that one player is going to bring a team of grown adults making millions down.  It takes more than that.

It's amazing the play it safe conservative views of this board. Play it safe for what? Undo what? A team that Is .500 for the first time since 2008 under a lame duck coach? Really what damage could he possibly do? We've been playing it safe and reaping no benefits for years. Meanwhile the risk takers like the bengals rise to relevance strike gold (burfict) patriots (dennard)rams (jenkins). Every kid thay hits a bump in the road isn't rae curruth.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
