At 4-3 the Panthers could move to the next level with a trade.

the only trade we need, is for OL. Cam is still taking heavy pressure

Teams are sending heavy pressure though....that really sticks out. The blueprint on Cam was sending more bodies than we can block.....teams may rethink that which could open up more downfield shots

the thing about trading picks for established players is the cost differential.  It looks like we're drafting

well now, so getting players that perform while still under their rookie contracts greatly benefits our cap problems.

If we trade and sign a player like Nicks, we're going to have to a pay a vet salary.

Just worries me because we're gonna have to pay BIG bucks to sign Cam, Luke and Star down the road.

settle down beavis, Gettleman is setting us up for the future, we're not trading away draft picks

why when we can win now?

Getting one of these quality young recievers now will allow us to go OL heavy early in 2014 like some of yall want to do...

Then you aren't paying attention.

Lafell has been great actually this year. Good hands, good routes and good separation. I have keyed in on him for the live games because it is pretty hard to follow him without the ball on TV

And your a homer. Name 5 teams where lafell would go and be the number 2 wr. Its obvious to everyone and there momma but some of the fans that were in need of an upgrade. which is why we've been linked to so many trades for wrs. The talk of the town is surrounding cam with weapons. That wouldn't be the case if lafell was all world like you keep making him out to be. Good hands doesn't drop 4th and 1 wide open passes. good hands don't drop wide open sprinting to the endzone touchdown catches. Stop it.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
