Favorite Defensive Stats

Figured I'd start to collect our favorite defensive stats from this year. Mine is about recovering from turnovers.

We've had 13 turnovers this year, and we've given up 13 points off of turnovers. That's the 2nd best in the league behind KC, which has given up 10 points off of 8 turnovers.

It shows just how resilient this defense has been even when put in tough situations.

Oh and in the past two games we have given up 0 points in the 2nd half.

my favorite stat, is carolina is shutting teams down on 3rd down.  allowing only 33% to be converted.  39/115.  And have only allowed 1 4th down conversion.

And we're converting 3rd downs on offense!  Third downs used to KILL us.

Not really a stat. But I cannot think of ONE player on the defensive side that does not make a play for this team.  DTs aside and when TD and Kuechly make a play you can thank the DTs.

I caught a lot of flack before the season because I thought this defense was going to be awesome and incredible.  Fought over Kuechly being better than Willis RIGHT NOW!!  And he is,  I caught flack about or defensive backfield was going to be good with the additions to this team.

IMO we have probably 4 Pro Bowlers on the Defensive Side.   One from each level with an extra LB.

C. J.

Kuechly

Davis

Mitchell

If you do avg points per turnover we actually are better than the Chiefs.

Car: 1 pt per turnover

KC: 1.25 pts per turnover

I was gonna say Mitchell seems like a long shot, and he still might be, but I looked at his stats this year and only Earl Thomas is ahead of him in picks at FS (3 to 4) and they have the same number of FF (2)

It'll be interesing to see if enough people recognize to vote for him

Plus he has a couple of sack not to mention he hits like a Mac Truck.

Favorite D stat for me:

We are always Terrible late in the game and in close games!  Costly fumbles but D doesn't help either (see ATL last year Buffalo this year)

4th Quarter + 1 point Game

FOUR yards Total Offense in the 4th Quarter!!!!

The #Panthers held #Niners to FOUR total yards in the 4th quarter. That's the best defense in the sport.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
