Segment coming up on espn about cam MVP status!

Recommended Posts

No knock on Cam but the Panthers win as a team.  He's made some clutch throws but Tolbert's made some clutch runs, Kuechly's made some clutch tackles, Smith has made some clutch catches.  Although Cam is ultra-valuable to the Panthers, they aren't a one man show.  And truth be told I'd rather my favorite team be built that way instead of just relying on one guy like the Broncos, Saints, or Patriots.  So will Cam win MVP?  Probably not, and I don't think he cares and neither should we.  The Panthers are winning as a team.

Yeah Manning had the MVP locked up by Week10.

I think Kueckly, however, is a very strong contender for DMVP. Could be interesting so see if Thomas Davis takes any votes away from Luke in that category.

Peyton is having a Record setting year. Those usually get you MVP.

You may very well be right about Keek. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of any player having a great year. So maybe he can pull it off.

And TD getting some love should only help Keek. Keep the focus on us. And that is the most important part. Keeping the focus on us.

Let's be real, the whole MVP Trophy stuff is a joke. It's like  the beauty pageant where the judges have already picked the winner every season and the other contestants are simply being mentioned in the same breath with her.

Everyone knows that Peyton Manning is going to win. The not so subtle bias of today's sports media seriously leave much to be desired. Every week they just try and add someone to the list simply to not look so darn obvious. Just yesterday they were including Russel Wilson into the mix on NFLN.

Wait until Luck gets up to speed. I can gaurantee he will be next in line for collecting MVP throphys just like the chosen qb whose hierarchy position he's being groomed to take. Everyone else around him will have to out do themselves in order to take such a shallow honor away from him.

Manning is going to get it, but that's not a knock on Wilson or Cam, just how good Manning is playing this year.

Just like Alabama QBs aren't always Heisman favorite Payton shouldn't also. He has way too many weapon on the field and the defense is no slacks either. This poo is too much about meaningless stat padding. The how should also play a role. What Cam is doing with his limited weapons is more impressive that Payton chucking it up wobbles to wide open receivers. At least that's my opinion.

Brandt has Nick freaking Foles at #2 in his MVP race, ahead of Manning.  Brandt has lost his damn mind.

I love they went ape poo with weak schedule talk before we played the 49ner's now, Foles is in the MVP talks whilst having played... you guessed it 0 fuging teams with a chance to be in the playoffs.

Every time these arguments come up people get caught up in semantics. "Cam is the Most Valuable Player because his team would suck without him". That is a dumb way to look at it. To me the MVP is the most valuable player to the league. You need to have historic numbers while making the playoffs. You need to have flashy plays that captivate an audience.

Cam meets some of my requirements but he is woefully short on statistics. You can blame our system but MVP voting isn't about handicapping. It's about production.

To me the MVP is the most valuable player to the league.

No. If that were the case, then it would just be called MMP (most marketable player).

The MVP can only play for one team, his team. If he is the most important player on that team, and leading his team to the postseason, he should be a candidate. I see virtually no chance Cam wins it though, and I have no problem with that, I'd rather see our team win.
