Luke Kuechly a pro-bowl snub?

Fan voting only accounts for 1/3 of the process and fans are idiots. He will make it once the coaches and players vote.

there are people every year who make it only because of the team they are on or just how popular they are while very deserving players  sit at home or whose only hope of going is as an alternate.

this has been the case for years.

the probowl is not about gathering and honoring the best the nfl have to offer. it's more about honoring the popular and hyped with a free trip to hawaii, a joke game to play in that all but a couple players take seriously, and ammo for future contract negotiations.

Nobody here should be surprised at Panthers players being snubbed. We've known this will happen for years, especially after DeAngelo Williams' all-time snub in 2008. Kuechly will get in with the other 2/3s of the vote, I'm more concerned about Thomas Davis and Charles Johnson getting snubbed - especially CJ. How he could have a season with 12.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles (last year) and miss out is beyond me and it's ridiculous he hasn't even sniffed getting in the Pro Bowl yet.

Kuechly is high energy but he has made some huge mistakes this year (Bills and Patriots end of game). I don't think he's as good as Sean Lee but he is definitely a pro bowl caliber player.

I'm not sure what you're talking about in regards to "Patriots end of game." The only play I remember was one in the endzone where Kuechly made what the NFL would later deem a great defensive play that won the game. Am I forgetting another play?

If this is your justification for why you think Lee is better than Kuechly (he isnt, for the record, and frankly it isnt all that close) then I'd probably keep such misinformed opinions to yourself.

Let's see, Lee is the general of one the worst defenses in the league (mid-tier before he went down), and he's better than Kuechly? Sean can't even stay healthy for two straight weeks.

But he plays for a team with quite possibly the single most delusional fanbase in existence.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
