Falcons DT Corey Peters OUT

I remember an article over the summer mentioning that the Falcons D-line was their weakest position and absolutely no depth, so an injury would be devastating.

Found it:

Any team's loss of a DT is killer for its run-stop defense.  But the other team's passing offense also benefits.  Face it, our patchwork offensive line has been less than stellar essentially the entire season.  Giving Kalil, Wharton, and Chandler a defensive line that is down a man helps pass protection, allowing for deeper routes to develop and giving Cam a cleaner pocket to throw out of.

It's happening. Everything is coming together for us out of random chance. The Falcons are now further decimated by injury, and things are going our way. Hopefully Stewart will be back in action and we can get some of our money's worth out of him.

And how about that Falcon WR getting body slammed and injured last night. Will he be out with a strained labia? I love this season.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
