You Better Step Up Sunday!

LMAO!!!! Nice thread chuck.

Seriously feel like a complete dumbass for making that LaFell thread earlier this year. I saw the Pats game and thought there was hope. However last Sunday he failed miserably. The lack of effort on one of his comeback routes was pathetic.

He has his flashes (catch in traffic against the Jets) but they just don't happen enough.

If Lafell can't produce this Sunday there is no reason to bring him back. LaFell needed to step up against Atlanta and he didnt, he has been given a second life, he better make the most of it.

I really see Smitty getting all the WRs hyped up for this game. He knows, even if he plays the whole game, he isn't 100%. He is going to need the other receivers to step up and be a factor to take the coverage away from him so he can have opportunities.

No drops.

No rounded off, lazy routes.

No waiting on the ball. Attack that bastard like it's your next contract, because it may be.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
