Giants letting Nicks walk!

@RapSheet: Multiple sources tell me Hakeem Nicks was fined repeatedly for being late to meetings & missing treatment. He battled thru several injuries

@RapSheet: Hakeem Nicks is not the only player to be late & miss treatment. He’s not a bad guy. But in a contract year, this frustrated #Giants.

1 or 2 year deal would work .

Yes 1-2 year for maybe for 3 million. I would go along with that. But I just still get the feeling Nicks will be looking for a big money contract this off season. He is still young. I just think his time in NY is up. He will be looking for a new team and new start. But the question be come how cheap will he go for us to get him or will there be other teams after him and willing to take a risk on giving him a fat pay day. I would love to see him sign and us draft a star WR in the first. Ted Ginn come back. Then have Smith in the slot Nicks and Ginn on the outside. I think Nicks would be a decent upgrade from Lafell to be honest. Just my opinion.

That is small details. I'm sure if we can get on a 2 year contract. His attitude would change quick about how he does things. Plus him coming back home to Carolina. I'm sure that would do him good.

    • The bare minimum is two first rd picks for Horn. Anything else should be ignored….
    • I am not sure what the true offer would be from the rams but if it is 2 firsts (thats the only way I even discuss it) then hell to the yes I am doing that and not thinking twice.
    • It is a dumb argument I’ll give you that. Drafting a guy primarily  because he can do what should be the job of your starting QB is not efficient use of your resources.  If you draft a guy to develop as a QB you do it because you think you can develop him into a QB.  If you want to run him in to take up Bryce’s slack then you have that option.    as far as conservatives (?) not willing to gamble a later pick? Well the answer there is look at the roster prior to the 2025 draft. Holes like Swiss cheese.  Every guy we took contributed and many of them significantly. You get the floor of the 21 guys who aren’t QB raised to the point you can’t immediately replace one of them with a 4th or 5th round rookie, then feel free to be a little looser with some of these later picks.  We still are not there. Maybe next year.
