Bears Not Likely To Resign Charles Tillman

Growl

not really interested. would rather try to develop Melvin or get another young corner. We already have Flo for the leadership role.

If we were one CB away from the Superbowl I would say yes

Peanut Tillman could make us one corner away from the SB. But I think Nicks is still more impt.

I mean what do you people expect in free agency? An All-Pro for 3 years straight coming off a 10 INT year that suddenly decides he doesn't want to play for his team anymore and is willing to play for less in order to be on the Panthers? I mean give me a break. Everyone in free agency is going to have their pros and cons. They aren't going to be this hall of fame player you have in mind for some odd reason. Come on, the guy was All-Pro last offseason.

We have huge holes to fill. Not everything is going to be filled in the draft. It's up to Gettleman to find the free agents that have more pros than cons and get them here on a fair deal to help this team out. Even if they have 1 or 2 years left in them because our window is opening wide. We need free agency along with the draft to help us get to the ultimate goal. We can't be picky hoping for some spectacular steal that never comes. We need to get the guys we need right now to help our almost non-existent CB crew, our weak o-line, and our lack of play making WRs.

I would like for it to happen although I don't expect it. But the people that keep talking like he's trash or say "he's not an upgrade to what we have" are just embarrassing to our fanbase.

33 years old. I like the dude, but at this point a quick fix is not what we need. We need young guys. Peanut Tillman is still a badass though.

care to explain why we don't need a quick fix at CB? That's what championship teams do... Bring in talent to put them over the hump.

not to mention our entire secondary is pretty young.

I'd say if we do really well in the draft (which is very likely with Gettleman) especially at WR, getting guys who can be productive right away, and keep Hardy, then we would be 1 corner away from a possible Super Bowl. If he'll come here over Tampa we have to take him.

this is probably the dumbest comment of the whole thread.

Ok because some one has a different opinion of a player than you do does make them dumb. Also i've lived near chicago my entire life ive watched a ton of bears games I stand by what I said about tillman. Did I say he was bad and a terrible corner? No I didnt he is 33 and instead of bringing in another band aid i'd like to see our younger guys finally get a chance
