Mod Op-Ed: This Is Officially The Worst Superbowl Ever

I'd like to think this too but it depends on what is done in draft and free agency. Panthers have holes. Seattle does not. No homer glasses for me there

Where I see negatives in the Seahawks I see positives here and visa versa. We got the blueprint. I think we are close but we do have to hit on our picks and draft like any other team . It is not homer glasses. We are close . But that was one of the most complete teams I've ever seen

Completely and totally unwatchable once the second half kickoff was returned for a TD.

I would be willing to be the ratings for this game tanked in the second half...

I was bored for the first half, but once the second half started I woke up watching the Broncos suck ass.

The thing that sucks is that we now have to contend with some power house teams in the NFC. The NFC is loaded.

Look at next year and the only teams in the NFC that look to be a couple steps back are Minnesota and Washington.

The entire west is good

The entire south can be good. Falcons will be drafting high and healthy and the Bucs now get lovie

The packers have Rodgers and the lions and bears midway through the season were at 6-3

The east is the weak link, but I wouldn't bet against Eli and coughlin and also believe foles isn't a flash in the pan.

The panthers need to continue to build and not fall back on old laurels (yes that is directed at u river boat Ron).

I thought the game was poorly managed and poorly executed.

When it was 15-0 on third down Manning forced a pass under pressure. He should've taken the sack and maybe they go for a long field goal - that makes it 15-3.

Then they went for it on 4th down before half. 22-3 gives you something to build on in the second.

It was a complete mess. It went down hill fast after the opening play. Denver did not approach this game well. They needed to make the Seahawks offense beat them and they needed to come out with more respect for Seattle's defense.

They handed the game to the Seahawks. 2 from the safety, 7 from a horrible kickoff, a forced pass resulting in 7.

John Fox should have played a more conservative game of football is my opinion. Give yourself a chance at the end.

This is a passing league we need to quit investing in the defense

Yes because everything about that game said that if the Broncos had just had one more receiver, they would have won the game.  I hope that was sarcasm!  The Seahawks didn't even need their offense to score and they still would have won the game.

The panthers have a far piece to go to be on this level

Guess they have least made a start

I just think the NFC is simply THAT much better than the AFC as a whole.  I honestly think that the Seahawks, 49ers, Panthers, and Saints go to the Super Bowl if they played in the AFC instead of the NFC.

John Fox didn't throw that awful INT that your referred to.  Manning had Thomas open there, he just threw an AWFUL pass.  When you're down 22-0, you gotta go for it on 4th and short there.  22-0 is a 3 score game.  22-3 is a 3 score game.  22-7 is a potentially 2 score game.  No reason not to go for it.  The popup kickoff WAS the conservative call.  He didn't trust Prater to kick it through the endzone even though he has one of the stronger legs in the NFL.

Yep, that was an awful pass on that interception.

On another, he also threw a pass about 4 feet over Demaryius Thomas's head.

Sounds like Manning needs to work on his fundamentals in the offseason.  :P

I'd still put the first Bills-Cowboys game as worse than this one. Likely a few others too.

But no question this one has to rank pretty high on the all-time stinker list.

I didn't even find all that many of the commercials to be especially good.

Denver won the disappointment match with the commercials, but I thought we could at least depend on a high level of new commercials. There were a few good ones, but what's up with all the sappy, feel good crap? There's a place for that but IMO it ain't the SB.

The game was far from the worst for me since I was really pulling for the hawks. If I hadn't cared who won I'd have quit watching before the 1st play from scrimmage in the 2nd half.

I think some might have bought the final score, but not with Seattle getting the 43.
