UPDATED: Confirmed. Bobcats Exploring Trade for Evan Turner

Not much legitimacy here, but at least an interesting rumor to think and talk about. What's yall take?

"There is plenty of trade speculation surrounding the Bobcats' future plan, but Sidery Sports chief writer Evan Sidery provided an intriguing trade scenario involving the Bobcats, the Houston Rockets and the Philadelphia 76ers.

In the proposed trade, the Bobcats would receive point guard Jeremy Lin, forward Donatas Motiejūnas and small forward Evan Turner. The Sixers, on the other hand, will get Ben Gordon's expiring contract, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Omer Asik, whom Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie really wants to acquire."

Since Evan Turner has a year left...let's say he doesn't re-sign here. Which unless we threw above market value towards him he wouldn't more than likely.

We get rid of one of the most valuable expiring contracts in the league AND Kidd-Gilchrist for a year of an overpaid and overrated Jeremy Lin? All the while, Houston makes out like bandits getting Hawes and Thad Young? Not only no...Hell no.

    • I love that. He could be a good one.
    • The biggest part of being a gunslinger isn't just massive arm strength, it's a fearlessness. Brett Favre is of course the best known one, and he's legendary for all of those touchdowns... and the record number of interceptions that came with them. But he was fearless and went down shooting no matter the situation. We had that in Jake Delhomme, too. Cam, definitely not a gunslinger. Had the arm strength (Lord he had a cannon for an arm), but his fearlessness allowed him to become an incredible runner as well. He didn't have to stand there in the street at high noon and just let the lead fly. Bryce... not sure he can become a gunslinger or if he's just a technician (that's not a bad thing, look at Joe Montana or Drew Brees), but he has to conquer that fear. He seemed to do that after those first two bad, bad, bad series. Can he make it happen from the start next week? I hope so for the kid. Would love for him to get it all together and make something happen. If that means he's our franchise QB, as long as he's winning he'll get my support.
    • I got my conspiracy theory about the XL and Brooks picks.   Not going there today but will say I absolutely hated shorting the defense in yet another draft and FA that year. We paid for it too.
