Panthers, Hardy talking long-term deal

I will be happy if it's under 12. Let's get that hometown discount and go with 11.5.

One hell of a hometown discount haha

If its over 10 trade him. I think Addison & Alexander can fill the void personally. Star & KK will be better to help aid the loss of a hardy. I'm tired of being in cap hell. I we pay him where right back in it.

How many teams are that interested in a guy who might get let go in a season after the tag? Before we get all excited about a tag and trade, please think about a team who is one franchise DE away from a super bowl run? And willing to make the investment in Hardy? Where as, If we lose him, we will have extreme difficulty relaxing his production. Especially on the run game... Sent from my VS980 4G using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

I think I prefer the franchise tag for hardy. Hate to commit that kind of money long term to a guy coming off one really good season. I think hardy is really good but would like to see him do it again before committing that kind of money long term. Also cool with the possibility of a trade that could come with the tag.

Committing 12m to him this year under the tag is a really bad cap move. Either LT deal or let him go.

    • so the current Carolina Panthers are a team that is in a similar situation that the 2022 Carolina Panthers were in about this same time exactly 3 years ago. & after the 2022 season & missing the playoffs because of a last game of the season loss to the Tom Brady led Bucs  Carolina Panthers brass then thought hey you know what we are just a Qb away from taking that next step & becoming a playoff contender in 2023 .so of course that's what the Panthers proceeded to do when they traded up to the #1 overall pick in order todraft Bryce Young .& here is history repeating itself as it often does & the Carolina Panthers are once again in a close race at the end of the season with Tampa Bay for the NFCS title in 2025  it's took what 3 years now to get back to where we started to begin with prior to drafting Bryce Young  &so tell me once again who is really holding this team back ? ...just saying hRi

    • Well, looking at it now I would agree that he should cede some of his power and focus on being a leader of an entire NFL program and becoming a better strategist. And leave the details of implementing that to the people he has hired to work under him.  But I am just some guy that gets his info 3rd hand and works off of incomplete info, using assumptions to draw conclusions.
