How many teams are that interested in a guy who might get let go in a season after the tag? Before we get all excited about a tag and trade, please think about a team who is one franchise DE away from a super bowl run? And willing to make the investment in Hardy? I think I prefer the franchise tag for hardy. Hate to commit that kind of money long term to a guy coming off one really good season. I think hardy is really good but would like to see him do it again before committing that kind of money long term. Also cool with the possibility of a trade that could come with the tag.

Committing 12m to him this year under the tag is a really bad cap move. Either LT deal or let him go.
