Trade Hardy for?.....

Sadly, I think we are going to need to move Hardy. I can't see us being able to pay Hardy, Cam, and Luke what they are going to want. The only reason I think that is cap space. With the 13 mil in cap space and and a few top picks we could upgrade at several key positions and not hamstring ourselves again with a massive contract. If we don't move him, I'm not sure how we are going to keep CJ, Hardy, Cam and Luke.

Dion Jordan is a bust and the Dolphins are just hoping they can find someone idiotic enough to trade something of value for their draft bust like the Cleveland Browns found in the Colts for their own bust Trent Richardson.

I'd love Mike Wallace, but I wouldn't love that contract.

How is Dion Jordan a bust? After one year, when he was drafted based on his upside once he really learned the technique. Aldon Smith is a hall of game caliber player and a once in a generation rookie sack machine. That's the only comparison I can think of to call Jordan a bust.

Who's talking about Aldon Smith?  If a franchise is shopping a guy who they took #3 overall after his rookie season, they're pretty damn sure he's a bust.

We took A.J. Klein in the 5th round last year.  He had 18 tackles and 2 sacks as a rookie in spot duty.    Meanwhile, the Dolphins took Jordan #3 overall and he had 26 tackles and 2 sacks as rookie.

Since we're dealing with reality this is how it's going to go down. We get the top 5 picks in the draft- those 5 teams set up a MMA tourney with the one player they choose to determine who actually gets Hardy. Winner takes all.

We then draft Clowney, Lewan, Robinson, Watkins and Dennard and then ASJ or Cooks/OBJ at 28.

Two different schemes, two different situations. The Dolphins stupidly does not make him a bust. Maybe he was drafted too high but he was seen(or should've been) as a developmental guy with huge upside based almost purely off athleticism. Maybe a by product of Ireland? Who knows, either way, I think after 4 years he could be a better all around player than Hardy is.

Was hurt much of last year & was drafted more on potential. Definitely not a bust yet & with the right fit don think he will be either. Just doesn't fit the scheme their running now. Why he's on the block. Give us Wake they get Hardy 2 2nd rd picks this year & next. Blllaaaammm! That just happened.

Wait... so we should be surprised that exactly the type of guy who usually becomes a bust looks like a bust in early returns?

Ireland was the GM.  He's not coaching the guys and he's not playing.  He's simply making personnel decisions.  He has nothing to do with 26 tackles and 2 sacks.

In 4 years, Jordan has a better chance of flipping burgers than being better than Hardy.

Video game jokes and sh*t talking aside: If he's traded, I see it for draft picks.  And it's totally reasonable we can get a 1st round pick for Hardy.  He's a 25/26 y/o coming off a 15 sack season with now league-wide recognition and self-made brand.  We may keep him, we may get a good offer.  That's about it for now.

IF we traded Hardy, I would want Cleveland's 2 first rounders to draft a top tier OL with the first, a WR. Or Gordon and the later 1st for him.

Hell I would take 1st and 2nd this year and maybe squeeze out a third next.

If we could get in the top 5 or 10 we would definitely have a chance to land a OT, WR and CB within the first 40 picks or so.
