crap.

something needs to happen soon and that something needs to be big.

the organization is facing a full on mutiny from a very frustrated and pissed fanbase.

I am seeing posters whom I thought I would never act so "negative" acting so and it's rightful for them to do so. The team has finally tasted success after a long drought and now seems absolutely determined to enter a rebuilding phase. This team has experienced wound after wound this offseason and there is no apparent desire to fix it, much less build on our success.

Im telling you guys-last year was an aberration in Davey's mind. It doesn't change that massive overhaul he incorrectly believes has to happen. It's the logical take from every statement and action he has made.

when was the last time we actually signed a big name in FA or signed someone Day 1 of FA?

Kemo? Wahle?

every year we are up in arms about how the FO isnt doing anything.. just chill, we are in financial hell.

if it makes you feel better- you can consider Hardy as our big FA splash

Cammy Cam alone will NEVER let that happen. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait until Gettleman, a year or two (assuming he tags Cam) from now plays hardball with Cam and Bus Cook, the Cowboys or some other team offer up more cash, and Gettleman gets his bluff called when Cam leaves. Can't blame him.

Look at what the other teams in this division are doing: Sure, they're losing some guys, but they're filling holes. This team is having another offseason fire sale.

We're a pie chart and a pissed-off Cam away from 2010 Part Deux.

Thanks, Dave.

What if G-man completely screws up and doesn't extend Cam soon enough and doesn't get him weapons or a line soon enough and then Cam decides to go somewhere else out of lack of respect to him and building around him? Then will people still love his "business approach"? I wouldn't even blame Cam in that situation. We'd continue our lack of success for decades and end up being like the Lions and the Browns. Just a month or two ago it looked like we were in a position to be great for years to come... Now? Not so much, very questionable.

    • Some fun facts on last nights game.
    • I was reading through the thread seeing if someone would mention this. This is exactly what the Canes are doing and Tripp Tracy alluded to it on the Spittin Chiclets podcast when he said Taylor Hall was our Sam Bennett. The Canes and Panthers have always played identical with the main difference being Florida toes the line between physical and dirty. The Canes have stepped up the physical play this year and are inching closer to that line of physical and dirty. If I’m being honest, as a Montreal fan I wouldn’t love the fact that the Canes seem to be targeting Hutson but as a Canes fan I love it because this is what you have to do in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Montreal they aren’t an overly physical team outside of Anderson and Xhekaj; only the Avs, Stars, and Sabres average less hits per game than Canadians in the playoffs. The Canadians can still make this a series if they stop playing scared and turning the puck over simply because they are getting elite goaltending while the Canes are getting average goaltending but if the Habs continue to play with the yips and either Andersen steps up or Dobes regresses then this series could end in five.
    • I guessed Andy Reid too on that Price is Right. As if I had any idea….
