Huddle opinion....who agrees with the complete overhaul we are seeing

Hahahahahah Stewart will finally have a healthy off-season, just like every off season. I like him but hurneys contracts to him Williams and CJ are a major reason we are losing players that contribute. I realise that they just signed what was offered to them and we would have all done the same thing. the sooner we are either rid of our rbs or they are paid accordingly the better of we will be.

The thing that doesn't make sense to me is that we tagged Hardy like we were getting ready to go all-in or something, yet, when it came down to it, that was the worst decision we could've made. That single move has strapped what little cash we've had this offseason. I understand that Hardy is a very, very talented player, but what was it Dave said? "You can have two or three players eating up all your cap space"? Yeah, well, it looks like he fuged himself because he panicked.

I'm aware that the draft is coming up. This draft isn't that loaded. We can't fill three secondary spots, three wide receiver positions, a LT, a LG, a RG, a RT, another TE, etc in just one draft, and truly draft BPA.

And I swear, if we draft a fuging DE or DT because he was the "best player available to us at that time", I'm going to fuging rage.

If you think about it almost any player that's best available will fill a need on our roster, BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY FUGGING HILES TO FILL NOW. THANKS GETTS

Hurney didn't tag Hardy for 13 mil

You're right he didn't.....but given his record when it comes to giving out contracts, he would have made Hardy the highest paid DE ever and kept us in cap hell FOREVER. See contracts for - Jake Dlelhomme, Jonathon Stewart, Charles Godfrey, Charles Johnson, DeAngelo Williams.....One final note - why was a 35 year old Steve Smith scheduled to make 7 million this season and even more next year? Oh yeah, Marty Hurney gave him that contract.

Cheap? We offered Nicks a top 15 salary for his position and we offered LT Collins a comparable contract to the lucrative one he signed with the Bucs. We also franchised Greg Hardy for 13 million.

We let Collins visit TB before we got serious and let Nicks leave Charlotte without a contract. Mitchell, Ginn, and Munnerlyn all chose to go elsewhere despite saying how much they wanted to stay here. I think DG has disrespected more than just Steve Smith this off-season, and I think it could be a reason that seemingly nobody wants to play for a 12-4 team.

Is it not too late to reduce that 13 mil? Aka, an extension?

Keeping this front 7 was a good move, I promise you.

You and many other act like the season starts tomarrow

It doesn't. But there isn't an endless supply of free agents either. You can scream draft, but we aren't the only team that gets to draft new talent either.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
