"JR will never let DG or anyone else get rid of Steve Smith."

Right idea, wrong guy. Thomas is the man JR will not allow to be moved.

Td could've agreed to play(well go through rehab) for free and DG still woulde cut his ass. It doesn't matter if your the best current day example of keep pounding DG will cut you. We need to be more thankful for Hurney bc we wouldn't even have a lot of these players if it wasn't for him. Any other GM would've cut Davis

Nice try to bringing rationality to the panther fanbase TD but many have already said the regular season will be a failure just because we didn't resign and overpay some mediocre receivers. You might as well not even show up.

Too bad The Huddle is too herp derp to understand the message.

Thank you TD for infusing some logic.

You guys realize that you are trolling up the thread no different than the sky is falling crowd currently would be right?

Immense respect for Thomas Davis, very few people have actually given up on anything.

TD is the man. And Gettleman extended him! The man IS capable of recognizing and rewarding great players for those of you who were concerned.

Exactly, people keep saying Getts is too cheap but he picked up TD's option based on his level of play as well as keeping the core. Heck he is even paying $13mil for the kraken, that's not cheap if you ask me.

    • There are no juggernauts this year. Feels like everyone in the playoffs field is gonna have a puncher's chance. All the best teams still have very obvious flaws.
    • It does vary, and depends on their health and other factors. I mean you really can’t look at the schedule in August and know what you will be facing mid season or even early Any time because stuff happens. It is any given Sunday relative to that. Early this year, KC was beatable. Will they be in December? And we don’t know if they’ll be motivated, or out of it. One team, that is likely a different team in 10 weeks. That’s an example what I mean.  Far as “decent” we know who the good teams are. We could hit a good team on a bad day, and we could have a really good one. It happens. All I’m saying. And I don’t expect it not to, for random teams. That’s about it. Predicting wins is an imperfect pastime.
    • To the folks the last couple years who were boosting up Josh Allen and shitting on Cam Newton. This one goes out to you.
