Wow he hasn't even had a chance to unpack yet. He is trying to put his footprint on the team.

I will admit I am a little worried about some of his decisions in regards to the receiver on the roster but the man has been into NFL scouting for over 40 years.

Let him do his job without crucifixion

Panthers fans are not made fun of for being cocky. I can guarantee you that. We're made fun of because we're bad fans. Because we allow EVERY team to walk into BoA and control our stadium. Because we aren't intelligent football fans. Because we aren't able to see the big picture. Because we all keep saying "Cam Newton is going to have to throw the ball to himself next year". And definitely because we don't understand a formula to get to "sustained success".

We made some steps forward this year. We controlled the New Orleans game in the rain. Ask Drew Brees if he could hear himself think in that game. I couldn't hear myself yelling so I know it was loud.

Agreed.  Going forward, let's hope it doesn't take a winning season or a game that had Division title implications for us to be that way.  Once the Steelers stop owning our stadium then we can say we're getting somewhere.

Fans don't show up to watch their team lose, you can't ask a fan base to be losing their voices for a team that's 1-8

This right here. This is why were the laughingstock of the league. Not this petition or w/e it is Madhatter said. Other teams, especially big market teams, prob deal with this petition crap yearly

During playoffs, I heard several Patriot, a Giants, a Philly, and Dallas fan comment to me on how we now have a real GM, but rest assured we/JR would do something to screw it up

Finally this offseason people are aeeing what I've been saying for years. We are a bottom 5 fan base in the league. A majority of our fans are clueless clowns. We took a HUGE step forward this year. The only problem is with a fan base like this is we are going to need to maintain the success or we are going to erase everything we did this year. Unlike the Giants, Jets, Eagles, Steelers, cowboys, packers and redskins who all support their teams no matter what.

Again this is a 16 fan signed petition? Does this really represent the majority of the fan base.

Those are historic franchises that have been around for decades. Can't compare us to them.

Has absolutely nothing to do with this petition. Just read this last week in posts. Will tell you everything you need to know about this fan base. Even one of our Mods is ripping our GM in every thread after going 12-4. It is a joke

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
