Rams GM says they have better than a 50 % chance of signing Britt

I don't understand why Britt is even being discussed.  It's not happening.  He never even came for a visit, lol.  And according to Zod and I believe David Newton, we don't want him (or anyone else that Gettleman doesn't consider to be a #1).

Can we go back to waiting on signing some more superpowered vets on "one-year prove it deals"?

I want to know why people think we are going to/need to sign another WR. The only one I can think of that would make sense is Jason Avant, mainly for his leadership and hands for 3rd downs and 4th downs. If we draft 2 (which I'm sure we will, just not sure where or who) then we should be set with Cotchery, Underwood, King, McNutt (one of those 2 will come out and play like a complete boss next season), and then the 2 rookies. I would like to add Avant to that, but we'd be perfectly good without him. Britt was never really a true possibility of getting signed here. JR doesn't take those kind of guys in here, and rightfully so in my opinion.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
