It's not his job to take a pay cut, when he signed his contract he was well worth the money. It's the front office's job to get the most out of him by putting an offensive line in front of him. When the line blocks, dwill runs well. If you know you don't have a great offensive line then it's the coaches job to scheme and design plays to mask that.

I'm not sure where people are getting that he is trashing his team. Notice there are no quotes of him saying he is not convinced that this years passing game won't be good as last years. That is what the writer wrote down. I believe a lot of people on the team were shocked when Smith got let go and rightfully so. I just never seem to get the D WIll hate that goes on sometimes. It is his fault for making good money? If I was in the same spot as him, I wouldn't even blink at the thought of taking a paycut. You have to get the money while you can. With that being said, It is not position to worry about how much "so and so" makes. I could careless. I leave the money issues up to the front office. Most people don't realize in order to run the ball effectively you need a good oline or a damn good scheme, we have neither. You can put Leseasn McCoy back there it won't matter. Watch the Eagels, he runs through wide open holes. You also need legitimate threats at WR, if they don't fear the pass its 8 or 9 in the box and you ain't running against that.

The split carries excuse is null. Stewart barely played last season, and Tolbert doesn't take any more snaps away from him than any spell guy on a team with a good feature back does
