  1. Past hour
  2. That too but Smith will tell you that he wasn't nice to Cam... Shoot he even said it out loud for his NFL smack talker video a few years back.
  3. I'm not upset at all for the compensation we got for AT. We did just ship off our vest pass catcher, and the vet we had in the room. I know many will dismiss a vets value to the youngsters, but I won't be hearing their weak arguments.
  4. This is the right take - although writers and other social media influencers use the delete button aggressively to "correct" any past misinformation.
  5. It's crazy what can transpire in only a months time
  6. Smitty got released because he was a dick to Cam because he was an older vet and didn't have the patience or time to wait for cam to develop
  7. Anyone with two eyes and a pulse knows that this team isn't going anywhere this season. If not they better open their eyes.
  8. College coaches do a lot of stupid poo that doesn't work with full grown men who make more money than they do. I've long held the belief that Tepper has never been near the problem he's made out to be. He hired 2 horrible coaches and let their "football" mind make the decisions. You can trace most resulting mistakes to coaches desires.
  9. I mean, he's a free agent, if we want him and he wants to return, it's a done deal. He has the choice of date with any actual suitors.
  10. For a 35 year old receiver on his last year, we got a really good deal. Remember, Dan Morgan has been hitting in the 4th/5th rounds the past two years. Id rather upgrade two picks than have AT catch 40 balls, play 10 games, and still miss the playoffs. Good value. Thank you AT for your time here!
  11. Funny, I got the exact same vibe as the Smitty trade. It's time to get rid of ole reliable and force Bryce to go through his progressions, take deep shots, and not just defaulting to the easy option of finding the guy who's definitely open for a 5-yard gain.
  12. But you don't have just one car. You pay someone to pick cars for you and you have two new ones that were advertised as top of the line plus a couple others you bought for value. If that 200 dollar car is the only one you can rely on then you need to pay someone else to pick cars for you.
  13. full disclosure, I wanted Stroud initially but I'm not sure he ends up any better than Young. That was a crappy year to be QB desperate.
  14. We got Greg Olsen for a 3rd, trading a 50 year old for a 4th is a steal. Coker was the target in clutch situations late last year.
  15. I actually think that it's a good thing. Bryce has to develop. A QB worth his salt isn't going to be reliant upon a senior citizen (in football years). Actually, it should make the entire receiving corps better. We'll certainly get to see what's what this year without an old security blanket.
  16. Would make sense to cut him for both parties with intent to bring him back. He gets paid to be cut and if they want him back he comes back and gets paid again. It's not risk for panthers by allowing more time and leverage for the AT trade because Renfrow has said he doesn't want to play anywhere else
  17. No fans actually knows the condition of his knees. He missed 1 game due to his knee. Joe Person did an Atlantic article where he got quotes from Moton who explained it was a chronic conditions that most linemen deal with but the staff had a plan and it wasn't an issue. Joe saw a juicy quote he I could turn into a story. Chronic could mean he is bone on bone or it could just mean it gets inflammation easily. Most likely the plan will be more vet rest days and a constant plan of ice and anti inflammatories. Chronic means there isn't a cure, like a surgery. Nothing is broken. Make sure to rest it and ice it. Won't be much of an issue. If anyone has any further actual facts or quotes, please share but all of this comes from one missed game and Person's article. Person has been better with the Atlantic but most remember him as an out of breath local beat guy who asks a lot of leading it loaded questions.
  18. These guys aren’t on rosters now for a reason. NFL GMs aren’t dumb they know if a player is a scheme issue or not. Half of these guys signed on other teams just to be cut.
  19. I guess we are not interested in winning now. I do see the positive and negatives. I don't understand cutting Hunter. We need a solid veteran at that position.
  20. Some of you are losing your minds over a guy that is no longer (seems he wanted to leave) here. BY needs to develop with WR’s that are going to be here for much longer than a Vet that was going to leave. If BY 100% needed AT (security blanket) than we have bigger issues than an old WR leaving. It’s time for BY to either be the MAN or we draft a new QB next year with a loaded Offense.
  21. He will still be a focus on our offense. We invested a top 10 pick in him so he will get looks and plenty of opportunities.
  22. But in any profession in life, you also have people who help teach you the things they've learned over their career to make you better, particularly early in your career. I'm not saying we need a vet to be taking a ton of snaps or targets, but someone who has been around the block (as an actual WR, not a special teamer) who can help these guys out.
