Except at QB where they did the exact opposite and drafted a guy with none of the athletic measurables but just assumed he could translate his college production because super processor PG mentality, nevermind the reality that he'll no longer enjoy his team having a massive talent advantage over nearly every opponent.
-
eh, its obvious that "good" games from Bryce are the anomaly and outlier.
-
To be fair, there have been UDFAs in the past two seasons who played better than Bryce, far better, to say nothing of those who had been drafted.
-
Backup qb? Im not so sure about that. Also what is the point in bringing in some stop gap qb to be a backup? What does that accomplish. This is a tear the bandaid off year. If Bryce sucks this year then hes gone. There isnt much point in not letting him play it out. He seals his fate.

How many games before they pull the plug for good

You're not gonna turnover the entire locker room in the off-season. If you lose the trust of the whole team you're basically cooked. It's just a matter of if you get fired after this season or after another lost season. -

Which is exactly why it's the organization's job to care about it. -
By pff but not by the NFL.

Those passes to Hunter were all begging to get him sent home on a stretcher, Everytime one went his way I held my breath.
-
I think Dan is right about the footwork. He’s futzing around with his drop to time his shuffle hitch throw appropriately. Bryce doesn’t like to put his foot in the ground and throw. He likes to crow hop a little unfortunately for Hunter digestive tract, there’s a safety Bryce either doesn’t see or doesn’t read and hospital balls him.

All bryce needs to win games is for every other player on both offense and defense to play perfect, its really not his fault that every other player on the team is not a probowl player, he is an awesome qb everyone else just needs to play at 200% so everyone can see how great bryce is ahahahahah

It’s also an ESPN guy making sure he leads his videos with IM A BRYCE BELIEVER ESPN guys can’t trash him, probably because of Alabama reasons.

Bryce by the numbers(emotionless post)

He's 6-23 as a starter -
https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/09/08/panthers-pff-grades-jaguars-week-1/86041090007/ Sanders and Dowdle both credited with drops.

I think a lot of his mental problems come from the fact that he knows he lacks the physical ability to play at this level.
-
I think the issue is using analytics to draft ATHLETES rather than old school scouts choosing the best FOOTBALL players.

Thats a bold statement provides a fox news source...

Players in the locker room don’t give a poo about draft position -
Okay so he and we are acknowledging that Bryce is still making mistakes and not recognizing basic coverages in his third season. So what does he do to prepare? Remember before the draft the entire hype around him revolved around not only his ability to improvise when the play breaks down on the field but his dedication to preparation off the field in the film room. So if all of this is happening and his footwork is still anywhere between mediocre and horrific in any given play what is he doing in the offseason and in between games? This and his elite processing was supposed to be his key selling point. Then leadership was the sprinkle on top and let's be honest that's lacking at best too. So what is it that Bryce Young excels at in any phase of the game right now?....

Ironically enough what I think will ultimately do Bryce in/will be why he won’t make it in the league won’t be his size concerns, but his mental makeup. He is a historical outlier in size and due to that has smaller and stricter windows, but he *has* shown he can play, but only when it doesn’t matter. The best football we’ve seen from Bryce was that preseason Buffalo drive and then down the stretch last year after we were already eliminated Remember the look on JJs face last night after that TD pass to Jones towards the end of the game? Dude looked like a straight killer. That’s the face of a dude that’s locked the fug in, completely ignoring any and all noise. Reminded me of prime Cams infamous nod prior to orchestrating a game winning drive right after seeing the Saints take the lead. Probably hyperbolic but that shot convinced me JJ will be a dude for the Vikings. Yes they have a great staff but that kind of mentality isn’t something that’s taught. to succeed as a young QB in this league you need some level of that coldness/killer mentality in you to push through the adversity that will inevitably come when you have a bad game, throw a pick 6, or your line gets blown up. i don’t see any of that in Bryce. I want to be wrong, and hope someone can quote this post with a “wow that aged like milk!” someday, but I don’t think it’s happening. if Bryce had that mentality in him, I honestly think he could play and work through it, but I just don’t think he does

Jay-Z is Hindu, so it was his 13th life before he made it. 2937 Carolina Panthers win the Galaxy Bowl versus the Proxima Centauri Centaurs. -
A lot of us said this at the time, it's not even hindsight. We should have kept the picks and stuck with Mayfield or Darnold 1 more year, or even let them both walk and still picked up Dalton in 2023.
-
It's cope from a believer. But if you drop the first and last 15 seconds or so he told a lot of truth in between he just can't allow himself to see it yet. It still has to be someone else's fault that Bryce is failing.
-
Total bullshit stat. Cam Ward’s receivers dropped 8 passes Sunday.
-
didn't say it was. Just addressing the billion posts about drops. being wide open over the top doesn't mean much either if your QB can't get the ball out there properly.
