  1. Past hour
  2. The cottonmouth was least aggressive and close to home -less than 100 feet and she left the premises unmolested by me. The canebreak was inside my backyard fence while swhmbo was hanging the wash and had to go with its rattling tail. This copperhead one of my cats had cornered in the yard. There have unfortunately been many others over the years but I never feel good killing wildlife. There is damn litttle of it left and all of them serves a purpose.
  3. If Bryce gets benched again, there’s not another comeback story for him wearing a panthers jersey. It’s over.
  4. Elite? It's wins. It's when it all comes down to a final drive and a td wins it, and there is just that feeling in the air. The elite ones just have IT, and when teams are unfortunate enough to have to give the ball back to them near the end, they know what is coming.
  5. I feel like there had to be some kind of Bryce busting contingency agreement that would allow Canales a clean shot if the Bryce thing doesn’t bear fruit. Meaning unless there are other issues he should be okay. There might be other things. I know what the anti Morgan people say, and they may be right. That he lobbied for Bryce. Right along with the rest of them. Swallowed all of it, the hook the line and the sinker. I just can’t believe anyone who played in the NFL could look at Bryce and feel that way. I think Dan as a LB would be salivating to play against him. I cannot resolve that conflict in my mind so I don’t totally buy that he was an advocate. I see it more like his job is to support his boss. Putting on a unified front. While having enough sense to see which way and how hard the wind was blowing around him. You can’t do much being the lone holdout when you are below people on the totem pole. So I want to say he was pragmatic. Fine if you don’t agree, not down for arguing about it. We are all speculating about it anyway. The way they drafted and signed and spent in 2024 was overwhelmingly slanted towards one goal which was propping up the weak link. That tells me they had a mandate from the boss to make it work, whatever it took. I am not so quick to dismiss Morgan under those circumstances, and I think this year’s rookie class is going to be pretty successful. I think the team will improve as we go, and prefer to wait before condemning the whole operation. To me they are majorly handicapped at QB. Playing from the white tees in a blue tee league. Now, otoh if I knew for a fact that Dan Morgan was a pro Bryce over Stroud man, and had real Bryce belief? I would want him gone no matter his history. Stated as a person who was vehemently anti NFL Bryce (not personally, only as an NFL 1st overall).
  6. Panthers scouts should have a rule where they CAN'T scout anyone from NC or SC unless they are getting national hype. Had XL not gone to SC we'd never have drafted him. #jrreid
  7. Yea i would say the trying to make him a character will cut off entirely by the end of this season.
  8. Why did we trade up for him? What a wasted pick. We better hope he gets it together or he's going to ride the bench until they find someone to take him
  9. Yeah he does a great job picking apart everything 5 to 10 yards away. That’s what he did at Alabama because you had depth chart full of game changers and teams were just trying the “bend don’t break” approach. You don’t have that in the NFL and definitely not on the Carolina Panthers. He can’t get to the end zone in less than 10 plays or push the ball down the field. He crumbles with pressure and when he gets touched, the ball flys out of his hands. We have seen him throw it deep before and it turns into a duck and comes falling down awkwardly because he has no zip after 15-20 yards. You can tell this when he runs around taking forever to get rid of the ball, he’s waiting for somebody to be super duper wide open so he doesn’t throw a pick or to move closer to him.
  10. Nothing really. I am trying to be positive and proactive and suggest some sort of use for a player that was drafted as 1st round wr, but has no future as a 1st round wr. Personally, I guess we drafted a mascot. He sure talks funny though, don't he? Har har.
  11. You don’t want your friend to make money?
  12. If he's gonna last in the league it's probably as a gadget player. The problem is that he hasn't shown much of anything with the ball in his hands either.
  13. Bryce now has a 6-26 record. What else is there to discuss really?
  14. And if you're gonna draft a project, draft a young one not a guy who's already as old on draft day as a lot of second and even third year pros.
  15. I think he needs to learn how to return punts and kicks. Maybe consider a change to RB. Although it would be terrifying watching him field punts with the game on the line.
  16. Anytime I hear “biceps” injury on a lineman, I go ahead and assume they’re done for the year.
  17. Yea, I started a thread about us needing to draft him on here in November of 2023, or 18 months before he'd even have been draft eligible, lol, and I'm sure I probably brought him up in other threads at some point before then too. Yea, and that's my point, I know I should feel like an unhappy camper right now, but damned if I just can't find those feelings because of how well he's playing. It's more than holding me over right now, I'm still just so fuging happy that he's a Panther that the rest is just white noise.
  18. Had to get a running start to the LOS to make it go 20 yards
  19. If we give him a second contract I don't think I can continue to support the team. The last 8 years have been tough enough to stomach. I can't do another 5-7 years
  20. An elite QB is somebody who can take over a game. Somebody who makes those around him better just by being on the team. Mahomes, Brady, Manning, etc. The only “elite” QBs in the NFL right now are Mahomes and maybe Allen in my opinion. There are some very good QBs (Burrow, Jackson, Stafford) but they are not “elite”.
  21. I still am pretty nonplussed though, and despite McMillan's nice start to his career, I'm not a happy camper.
  22. He’s an example of not letting your vision for how you think everyone’s vibes should be supersede what’s on the damn field.
  23. Bryce’s weak arm was on full display during that hilarious drive.
  24. THIS I kept yelling at how many red zone plays we ran without throwing it his way, just mind boggling to have a weapon like that constantly getting single coverage near the end zone and not throwing it up to him.
