  2. This. No GM is gonna come outright and be like “if our QB doesn’t improve we’re moving on next year” even if that’s the plan, you still say all the things DM has said I think we move on after this year barring some huge jump in improvement, but the hate boner here for Bryce really is wild lol.
  3. Sans the rushing ability, it reminded me of a classic Jake type game. Not my choice of a franchise guy, but if his talent translates to the NFL level, he could be at least be a viable backup you could win a game with.
  4. I should've referenced our current HC and, by extension, GM. I have been explicitly skeptical of Canales and his TE usage early during his first regular season in Charlotte. I will also note that Morgan wasn't really in Charlotte during Greg Olsen's career either.
  5. There are lots of new people attempting to join, but registrations are locked because the spam bots are uncontrollable, and the only person who can approve registrations is the admin who doesn't use the site anymore. If it was sold to someone who devoted even like an hour a week to the site we'd be in good shape.
  6. Flyers looked dead at the end of the Pittsburgh series. If the team that was steamrolling in games 1-3 managed to close it out in 4 I would be more nervous but the Canes should win this in no more than 5. Flyers will probably steal one at home on the back of an incredible game from their goalie and some magic from their young up and comers but the canes should never be in real danger of losing this series.
  7. I didn’t expect to see Freeling at 19. My plan was move back, take one of the guys that was still there and use the proceeds towards trading up in round two for Rodriguez. Freeling sitting there blew that all up. I knew there would be no trading up after that. Because don’t mess around, take the gift. And the ILB that I wanted in the second, over DL, that was me wanting something shiny. I think Hunter probably was the more responsible pick just like Freeling was.
  8. Today
  9. I think they needed to see how many 1st round series were going to end last night before they scheduled the start of the 2nd round. My scheduling guess is Sat, Mon, Thu, Sat for the first 4. And I wouldn't be surprised if game 4 is an afternoon game.
  10. If I miss a game for some reason, I typically watch the highlight reel on YouTube. I've not looked into the streaming channels for ABC, where tomorrow's game will be televised. If you're on satellite or streaming, you should have the ability to record it.
  11. Nothing tops, the Cam Newton rookie year from draft till the end. I'm pretty positive if home addresses were easily found there would have been everything from vandalism to assassination with everything in between on the table.. .
  12. I'm confused... I still want Njoku. I think he priced himself a bit too high when the market opened and got a reality check. If Tillis and Morgan can convince him to take a similar path as Walker took to reset his value next year, I think it would be a wise move. Njoku JT Evans Tommy
  13. Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment. "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel. For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9. Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
  14. Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
  15. Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL first round Qb's in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
  16. A few people think it is because he would have showed him up.
  17. At the same time some of his mistakes are what helped Georgia back in that game. He just doesn’t look that appetizing to me. And I am hungry as hell. But I am glad they are at least trying to upgrade from the likes of Jake Plummer.
  18. He’s one of my all time favorite Panthers.
  19. I felt like I was hopping aboard a sinking ship whose glory days had passed when I joined this place in 2021 deep in the bowels of the Rhule era, and that was 5 years ago.
  20. Perhaps the Sea Birds and Sam winning the Super Bowl has convinced Tepper that Bryce was the right choice, “We just have to give him more time.”
  21. He s only 31?!? Dang I feel like he was 28 for half my adulthood. Also, why didn’t we kick the tires on him to backup Bryce?
  22. I think so too. I really hope he is taking proper time to rest this off-season. I could see him over doing it and not having legs at the end of next season too
  23. Exactly the person I was thinking of as well, but Dart throws a better ball. Regardless, not many men go in to Athens and put up 400 yards and 5 TDs.
