This is the best plan. Convince me otherwise

I hear ya, but... there really isn't a whole lot out there right now that is any better. At least not that I can see. Unless staff sees Ransom as being able to switch to more of a FS role, I'm pretty sure we draft a starter and Scott is the back up. Also, I see him as a solid backup. -

The more I think about it the more I like the idea. Him (Kayden McDonald), Caleb Banks, and Peter Woods all should have 1st round grades and I could see any of them being there at 19. Our 2015 D was so damned good because KK and Star were in there throwing people around like they were in a mosh pit. -

It will be interesting to see how Willis operates. Being as we supposedly went through it with Bryce. Who got a total free pass despite looking horrible.

Some of the best F.A signings in Panthers history?

Except we traded a 3rd round pick to the Bears for him. -
Waddle had 1 really good year 4 years ago and has been a solid #2 ever since. Without tyreek last year he couldn't break 1000 Willis contract is basically only a 2 year prove it deal like jones. Theyre not sold on him either. He's basically a high paid tank commander to make it look like they're trying

Got some light reading for yall. Not sure I agree with the premise. But, it's been a big topic off conversation around these parts. Size is no longer a crucial ingredient among Stanley Cup winning teams

Off the top of my head, Greg Olsen has to be in contention for best FA ever. - Today

PantherChris started following Rod Sets a Record...

Lets see if he can parley it into a Cup because we have reached the point regular season wins arent enough!

Before free agency, Dan Morgan said we need a player on offense who can get separation and create YAC. We addressed every position of need except this. Sadiq fits this description. I’d say there is a very good chance he’s selected. For those saying we shouldn’t use a pick that high on a TE, he’s not just a TE. We could line him all over the field to create mismatches — similar to McCaffrey. He would open up our offense. We can’t go into the season without adding an additional weapon.

At this point its Sadiq or bust... A

I'm generally a 'no' on drafting TEs in the 1st round, but it could very well turn out that Sadiq is the BPA at #19. TE is a need for sure. -
He would've been the ideal type of WR to slot between 4 and 18 but not at that cost.

I get that they are rebuilding. But Waddle was only a number 2 because of Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins have a bunch of JAGS at WR outside of Waddle, they just paid a lot of money to Malik Willis to be their QB (if they didn't think it was possible for him to be a franchise guy, they would have just signed a one-year bandaid like Kirk Cousins or something), and yes they got a 1st round pick, but this is a weak draft, so the quality of player they will be drafting will not have 1st round value. I understood the other cap cuts and trades. This one is the only one I saw as hurting the team, IMO.
-
Made a few posts about it. Short version is we need to turn our OL over and get some rookie contracts in play. We can get the tackle money down now, and get ready to do it with the guards in a couple of years. When the tackles get expensive.
-
No way in hell a #2 WR is worth a 1st and a 3rd round pick. Dolphins fleeced the Broncos
-
I'm actually in the other camp. I think the dolphins just stole a 1st and a 3rd for an oft injured #2 wr. This is a full tear down rebuild. They aren't going anywhere this year. Malik wilis isn't a franchise qb. They should now have tons of draft capital to start the rebuild. Not reload
-
Absolutely. A one year rental at LT, a huge question mark in Icky, and Moton is about done. We need tackles.
-
I disagree with the notion that OT is not in play. It should be
-
Man idk I would be happy with Hill at 19 tbh
-
They are trying to get younger and out from under the cap. If Willis implodes they will be in a good position to reset
-
Cap. They’re getting young and cheap and stocking picks. Let’s be honest it’s more likely than not Willis is not a good full time starter and they need to take a QB high in the draft over the next 3 years. If he is they can be aggressive next year.
-
That is Fitterer level thinking right there. Maybe the player wanted out. They are in pretty bad shape down there with the cap and the prospects of winning are low
-
Man I hate Payton getting this guy
