  1. Past hour
  2. um... make it make sense. 200+ yards, no fumbles so why only a 75?!
  3. They have for sure set the offense up to be successful with a QB that can run it.
  4. I don't think Dan Morgan will be gone after this season, but some requested a potential 2026 GM candidate list. So here ya go. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Top/Rising General Manager Candidates: Notre Dame general manager Mike Martin Atlanta Falcons vice president of player personnel Kyle Smith Tampa Bay Buccaneers senior personnel executive Byron Kiefer Detroit Lions assistant general manager Ray Agnew Detroit Lions director of college scouting Brian Hudspeth Houston Texans assistant general manager Chris Blanco Former Indianapolis Colts chief personnel executive Morocco Brown New England Patriots senior personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith Buffalo Bills director of player personnel Terrance Gray Las Vegas Raiders vice president of player personnel Brandon Hunt Los Angeles Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander Seattle Seahawks Vice President of Player Acquisition Matt Berry Kansas City Chiefs assistant GM Mike Bradway New York Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown Cleveland Browns assistant GM Glenn Cook Chicago Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham Indianapolis Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds Buffalo Bills assistant GM Terrance Gray Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg Philadelphia Eagles assistant GM Alec Halaby Green Bay Packers director of football operations Milt Hendrickson Houston Texans director of player personnel James Liipfert (may be the assistant GM with Texans now) Baltimore Ravens VP of football administration Nick Matteo Los Angeles Rams assistant GM John McKay Washington Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark Please correct me where I may have incorrect titles and add any names you think may be rising. Again, I don't think Dan Morgan will be fired after this season, but some requested this following the HC thread I made. I personally like knowing the names of these up and coming GM/HC candidates whether we are searching or other teams.
  5. Construction is already underway at Lenovo. The restrooms that used to be right outside my section are gone and new luxury suites are being installed.... at least I can see why my tickets went up a few hundred apiece. Amazon Prime showing Face Off: Inside the NHL season 2 features Seth Jarvis, among others. It's a well done series along the lines of the Netflix show, Quarterback. Gonna need a new sweater this season at some point. My #5 Chatfield is pretty rare, but I'm seeing more of them. Thinking about a #50 Eric Robinson. Will be at the opener Thursday night. Not in my season ticket package, but the wife decided to buy a pair.
  6. Thats a good comp. Slasher that can put his head down and get through contact.
  7. As someone who was at the game - Bryce Young doesn't have the arm to make high-level throws. He just doesn't. It isn't worth having a discussion of if he will ever live up to what we gave up for him - he won't. And any comparisons to Baker and Darnold are reaching; their issues were more mental than anything else. They always had the physical talent. There was a throw on 3rd down where Bryce rolled out and had a guy open on the sidelines, but he literally couldn't get the ball there. It was jarring to see live. I think Bryce will be a very good back-up in this league. Not for us because we aren't good, but for a functional NFL franchise? He's going to hang around this league for a long time, especially because by all accounts he's a good guy. But he will never be a consistent top 15/20 QB. He lacks the talent.
  8. my favorite take from the facebook bryce young diehards was a guy giving bryce credit for handing the ball off correctly to rico saying quote rico didnt take the snap from center....the qb play bar for the panthers is so low that some fans actually think bryce not fumbling the hand offs to rico is something he deservers credit for lol they won but somehow there wins still feel like losses.
  9. I was in a typical argument last year with a Bryce advocate and said I could concede every point, but you still would not have an answer for the ball security issues. He coughs it up on the regular. And defenses know this obviously, the likelihood is it keeps happening. There is nothing we can point to showing it won’t. And I won’t ever concede that his margins for error are very thin due to his physical makeup. He has to be so much better than the guys with tools just to get similar results. It is expecting too much.
  10. Of course not that I believe Andy Dalton would make us an instant superbowl contenders, but we would definitely see an instant improvement offensively. Last year when Dalton came in, he threw over 300 yards and 3 TDs. This is the style of offense Canales seeks to run. This year we got even more guys to put up air production. (Tetairoa, the intricate routes of Hunter Renfroe, speed with Jimmy Horn, and hopefully the healthy return of Jalen Coker) Combine that with our running game, and we would be a real threat. So what Dalton represents, is the opportunity to see what this offense can really do. What would happen if we can combine this run game, with an effective down the field passing attack?
  11. We're going to pick eight again aren't we. Just in time for the top qb's to be off the board.
  12. I’ll be strongly disagreeing that he play next year, unless he earns it. He has shown his pattern, 3rd year in a row. Why would we trust that any dim flashes like a few completions are anything other than flashes at this point? When you work at something on a high level, or aspire to, the biggest thing you have to establish is not your ceiling. It is your floor. The challenge is to get your floor up to a level where even a bad day is still decent. Not horrible, just not up to your best. But not total poo either because you will not be kept around if you can’t maintain a certain standard. It’s on you to make that happen.
  13. Yes. This is my point. Canalas wants to revert back to the pass and IS THE PROBLEM
  14. Tell me you didn’t watch it with out watching a box score. Pass happy each game including the start. Ran the ball to get back into it and went back to the pass. canalas loves to pass and he almost blew it by going pass happy. I don’t care what the box score shows.
  15. The Panthers are the lone bullet in the chamber of NFL Russian roulette. If you lose to us, it's over.
  16. Also one of the things that might keep McD around all year is their offense (as putrid as it is) is designed very specifically to protect tua and take advantage of their track star wrs and rbs. they probably don’t have the personnel to just line up under center and run the ball like happens with most interim head coaches.
  17. Yeah tua now, multiple brain injuries in. tua has put up numbers Bryce will never sniff.
  18. He's almost certainly gone, but I will say McDaniel did seem to get the most out of Tua at QB. I feel like Tua is basically what Bryce's ceiling is with an actual innovative offensive mind calling plays for him. Tua has better size, but they both have similar arm strength limitations.
  19. Easily. Caleb Williams looks more and more like a Jameis Winston clone every week.
  20. The biggest change in that game was that after the fumble and interception, Bryce came back out with nothing to lose. And he wasn't playing scared, which is a major issue he has. And somehow, our O-line got it together, Rico Dowdle played just completely lights out, and when needed, plays were made down field. We gave up on the behind the line screen passes and just tried to move forward. Yanno, we played football. Maybe Bryce isn't a gunslinger. But maybe if he can lose that fear, he could be.
  21. Cowboys D is rated so low because they give up big chunk plays through the air, something Carolina has no ability to take advantage of
