  3. Get a sure thing day 1 starter at pick 1 without worrying about positional value
  4. To me, this statement means we better draft a DE in the first two rounds and trading back might make a lot of sense if we want one with our first pick. I would add Keldrick Faulk to that trio as I think he translates to a 3-4 DE.
  5. Wow, best of the world to you folks! Wish I could give more, but I'll send prayers, too.
  6. Measurements only take you so far. I remember Rhule passing on Slater because of arm length even though his film against elite college edge rushers was dominant. He said might be a guard here, right after being named an all pro LT. Obviously you want longer arms, but Proctor is right, you can't ignore the film.
  7. Reading the article, this seems to be purely a ranking on who got the most bang for their buck in free agency. Using his system, getting a swing OT or nickle corner at half of their projected value is better than getting the number 1 overall free agent at market value. It's a pretty useless list. And even by that metric, he undervalues the Panthers. Pretty much everyone agrees that we got Walker (to a massive extent) and Lloyd at significantly lower contracts than projected. So it basically boils down to him really being floored by the value of Phillips' contract, then adding the caveat that, well it's basically a 2 year committment for the most coveted free agent edge defender who's entering his prime.
  8. Hi guys I know you all ridicule folks here for the simplest stuff and hope I don't receive that here. My wife and I have gotten custody of our newborn twin granddaughters because our daughter is incarcerated. We already have two older sons here as well 16 and 17 years old. We are looking for any help in the Fayetteville area, we take hand me downs or anything that will help. Please keep my family in your prayers. Hi, I started this fundraiser, Support for Twin Granddaughters' New Start, on GoFundMe and it would mean a lot to me if you’d be able to share or donate to it. https://gofund.me/f236619a9 Please share if you do social media as I am not into that. If this is not allowed mods please remove or move it, thank you huddle family.
  9. Also based on usage I don't think Melo plays more than 25 tonight. Probably another loss unfortunately
  10. Somehow only lost by 4. I think they are at there best when Kon and Melos shooting is more balanced
  11. They haven't learned how to win close games. They beat the ever livin poo out of you or they lose. Now 10-18 in close games, so they've put 29 ass whippings on teams this year. Games are close because the 3 isn't falling but they keep shooting them so they end up losing. They should have been attacking the last 3 minutes however I guess if 2 more of those 3s go in then they win.
  12. Fug the Metro. Canes need home ice as long as they can and need to win the East. Otherwise, I don't see them getting past Buffalo, Tampa or Columbus- all of whom are playing really good hockey right now. Much better than the Canes.
  13. Great game vs the devils. Get another two today and that should all but do it for the metro.

  15. Yeah we had multiple chances to tie up the game or take the lead. We have made some significant strides as a team shooting threes but this group absolutely needs to get more aggressive in the paint in crunch time if they want to be a playoff team. For all the praise of the group and Charles Lee being talked up as coach of the year that's just pitiful and unacceptable. Also adding even more insult to the loss. Apparently Embid is 21-1 against the Hornets.
  16. I read that they don't like arms under 34", but I do not know. I can say that I have followed OTs who were drafted and many get kicked inside. Brady Christensen is one example. RTs seem to be more tolerant of shorter arms. As much as it seems silly, there is a reason the short-armed prospects can't hack the outside. For the 2026 NFL Draft, arm length is a critical talking point for offensive tackles, with 33 inches usually being the minimum threshold for teams. Notable top prospects include Monroe Freeling (34 3/4"), Blake Miller (34 1/4"), and Dametrious Crownover (35 3/8") having elite length, while Spencer Fano (32 1/8") is facing potential positional moves. Top 2026 NFL Draft Tackle Arm Lengths (Combine Measurements) Monroe Freeling: 34 3/4" Blake Miller: 34 1/4" Dametrious Crownover: 35 3/8" Max Iheanachor: 33 7/8" Caleb Lomu: 33 3/8" Kadyn Proctor: 33 3/8" Francis Mauigoa: 33 1/4" Spencer Fano: 32 1/8" Markeel Bell: 36 3/8" Garrett DiGiorgio: 32 5/8" Trey Zuhn III: 32 1/2" Key 2026 Measurements & Context The 33-inch Cutoff: Many teams consider 33 inches the minimum for NFL tackles, with sub-33 inch arms often leading to a move to guard. Spencer Fano's Case: Despite top-15 draft projections, Fano's 32 1/8" arms at the combine sparked debate about his long-term position, though he measured 32 7/8" at his pro day. High-Length Options: Markel Bell (36 3/8") is a standout for his length, while Dametrious Crownover (35 3/8") also boasts high-end measurements. Proctor's Perspective: Prospects like Kadyn Proctor acknowledge the talk but emphasize that elite film can overcome shorter measurements. Olinemen I like late: KY OT Farmer--has the arms but lacks the feet. will be a solid G imo. Parker II (Duke OT with sub 33 inch arms. Smart with good feet--projects to center. A smart, agile center is a nice thing. Zuhn III (Tex AM) is another T to C candidate. Of course, I think the Panthers will like traditional center Logan Jones (Iowa) because he is an experienced (50 starts) fit in a zone scheme.
  17. He's apparently told the school that he was interested, hence why they are waiting.
  18. That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools. also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
  19. Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
  20. I agree. The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference. If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference. Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise. If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits. Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few. Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
  21. Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
  22. I would be good with 4 rounds of that. I don’t want to slough off DT but am pretty much on the get a tackle on a rookie deal wagon. If OT wasn’t falling our way DT would be a prime alternative.
  23. Lloyd has the favorite 2 games from a championship. He is hedging for a raise IMO. I cannot see him leaving Zona
