If they wanted actual fairness they would make the lotto only the able to move up or down 5 picks..... They claim its not to reward tanking but in reality the lotto in NHL and NBA really just take away the illusion of pariety.

Unless we luck into a Steph Curry at pick 4 it literally doesn’t matter. Williams, Ball, and Miller will play like 5 games together and we’ll watch inefficient offense and half-ass defense all year until we shut everybody down again just to hope for another shot at the rigged lottery.

Well, I was referring to the current OKC team. Who is their generational player? SGA? The Hornets were the ones who drafted him, at #11. And then traded him immediately. And even if he leaves OKC, they won 68 games this year, and are currently 2 games away from the conference finals. So, they've got a chance, which is something we've never said about the Hornets. My point being, even if the odds weren't stacked against us (which they are), we'd manage to screw it up anyway. Even if the lottery was legit, it's just a bad, bad look for the NBA. We've heard scattered "rigged" claims before, but last night everyone seemed to be in agreement. Even Mavs fans.

I'm not going to get toooverly invested in him. He played for one of the top passing offenses in college. 4th in yards and 2nd in passing tds and had 440 yds and 1 TD. He was their 4th receiver..

They keep saying things like "the position is devalued". They say the same things about running backs, strangely enough. Then our like of linebackers give opposing running backs the most historically bad defense to run against in league history. I think the cameraman in the EDM-VGK game last night learned his camera skills through an internship with the WWE 5-10 years ago. So much movement and zooming in/zooming out that it made the game absolutely terrible to watch.

After their rookie season draft position has nothing to do with playing time. XL is going to have to fight for it. What I hope is XL has trained all off-season to improve his hands. Best thing is XL can only go up.

I'm actually fairly bullish on him. He was pegged as a toolsy athlete who was all projection when we drafted him but I thought he did fairly well last year especially given the circumstances.

While I don't expect him to be a featured WR, I do believe there are going to be some plays designed to have him on the field with TMAC and XL. The possibility of stretching the defense is going to help us whether we are running it or passing. I predict he'll make some chunk plays for us.
