He is what he is, the ‘dog’ kicker was Tepper. And my dog has been being kicked hard the last three seasons. Bryce seems to be a real good kid with a great heart and some attitudes that, if he were in an NFL QB’s body, would take him far. But he isn’t in an NFL QB’s body and that is the rub.

Not anything necessarily new in terms of what we already know. But it is good to see the team sending a message and putting it out there directly. https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nba/hornets-want-see-more-out-lamelo-ball-report-2133538

Outside XL, he has definitely been our 2nd least effective WR. Either way, if he can't make a bigger impact(for whatever reasons), I would say Coker, Tremayne have shown more reasons to get the PT. So far, anyway.

I actually think this aligns perfect. A Ludacris concert at 10:00am that feature a sparse crowd of random 45 year old moms in attendance....before past their prime greats of Dabo and Belichick compete in a battle of he can lose to the other in an ugly game of football.

I read today he will indeed be out for our game

We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow

Would you be okay with this being his ceiling. Middle of the pack QB who can do basically what needs to be done to win some games. Not a franchise QB nor a total bust. Average QB at best. Should they ride this train (if this is indeed the case), and just keep building the rest of the team out. To many needs to keep neglecting other aspects of the team for one guy. Let's face it, he is what he is. By the way.....great win Panthers and just what we all needed. Good job -
A few more hospital balls from Bryce and Renfrow may start rethinking his decision to return to the NFL...
-
Renfrow has played virtually the entire game both weeks 1 and 2. I think this was just about David Moore getting XL's role. And thus mathematically the only way to get Tremayne work was to limit Renfrow. Which Renfrow probably should be limited....just not this way. You don't want David Moore playing a full game because he stinks. But he is Canales' dude. Tremayne or Coker or even Horn should be working in to diversify with Renfrow in slot looks.....but you need Coker or Tremayne opposite Tmac when that happens.

Yep. Actually watching the first half showed me we kept Bijan in check. He had a couple long runs to bring their average up but they weren't converting early when they tried running. We brought in Ransom in the Big Dime package and he was huge against the rung with Moehrig. Our LBs actually played decent for a change as well. DB kept their OL busy for the most part as well. Evero did a good job Sunday.

If George is saying it, you know it’s bad haha

We need to stop sending Renfrow deep. He's getting open but Bryce can't hit him. Have him run those Thielen routes from the past couple years. Bryce is a lot more accurate making those short to intermediate throws and Thielen just doesn't have the catch radius to reel in Bryce's spotty deep throws.
-
I think it is pretty simple. Bryce has lead the NFL in bad throw % since arriving in the NFL. His ball placement often leaves a lot to be desired often. Renfrow is tiny. Tiny wingspan. So it's really going to highlight the fact Bryce doesn't really put the best balls out there for people w/ someone small like Renfrow.

No, but most of know this win is the exception rather than the rule. Yes, winning feels awesome and I know the team really needed that 'W', but if things go the way most think, that feeling will be experienced only a few times this year.

Two of their three 9yds runs came during the 2min warning in the 4th quarter as did one of their 10yd runs. 2yds - 5 3yds - 5 4yds - 2 5yds - 1 6yds - 2 7yds - 1 9yds - 3 10yds - 2 17yds - 1 Didn't stop any for less than 2yds, but they had nearly as many 2-3yd runs as they did the rest combined. ESPN's play-by-play shows that they came out slinging the ball around in their opening drive but then they went back to unsuccessfully attempting to establish the run until they needed to throw it. For example, on their second drive of the game they ran it twice to get to 3rd & 1 only to get a delay of game and throw an incompletion on 3rd & 6. Their third drive started with a run and then a screen that got stuffed for -5. That led to an incompletion on 3rd & 13. Their fourth drive started with a healthy mix but then they called three passes in a row on a new set of downs and went nowhere. Their fifth drive had four runs in a row to set up an incompletion on 3rd & 5. The sixth drive was the pick-6 so their seventh drive only had two runs called due to being down 17-0. Their eighth drive came while down 20-0. They were playing hard to try and at least get a field goal on their final drive. They ran that s.o.b. six times in a row before fumbling it at the end. The offense, defense, and special teams all did an excellent job in playing complimentary football imo!

I wonder if they're trying to keep Renfrow fresh by controlling his snap count???
-
Yeah it was like watching two bottom teams slap fight and play ugly small ball in the preseason to me. hard pass on that personally.

I'm looking for the video but I found this from SI (from 3 days ago) in the meantime. "If you remove the turnovers, which is a pointless exercise since they happened, Bryce Young has been quietly very good. Sometimes, you can live with the turnovers, but the explosive plays to offset them haven't been there, and the turnovers have directly led to points and losses. But Jake Delhomme thinks that's the one area that needs to be cleaned up. Otherwise, Young has been strong. "We saw Bryce end the year well. I saw him play decent the first few weeks (this season). It’s just the turnovers, that’s something that’s killed him," he said via The Athletic's Joe Person."
